It's time for a NES trivia

Hey, that's pretty good SantaCruzer.

73%
I guessed on 3 and 7. The only one I got wrong was 6. I thought it was DQ II.

18%, which, incidentally, is significantly below what random selection would have gotten me. I blame it all on the lack of Cosmic Spacehead, A Boy And His Blob, or any other games I owned questions.

A few of those questions were total cheapies that had nothing to do with playing NES heavily. Fun quiz, however.

I agree. I definitley made those questions too hard, and most of them try to trick you :P

My memory is a bit dodgey, but wasn't Dracula's Castle just called... Dracula's Castle?

I could've sworn that 'Castlevania' is what Konami decided to call the series in the West, since it went well with people's idea of 'Transylvania.' Pretty sure that most, if not all, of the games were called something else in Japan, no?

I remember reading a couple of years ago that Castlevania was the name of Draculas castle. That fact could be wrong though.

I got 18% too.

I did waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better on Gamespot's quiz awhile back. Something like the GSAT's. I think that and Next Generations Hardcore test are my favorites.

the only answer I actually knew for sure(being the only one I played from those questions) was the Dragon Warrior one.

The "How many games did Kuros star in?" is a bit confusing...the answer is 4 (I assume because of the Gameboy W&W title?) but it's a NES quiz. He starred in 3 games on the NES. None of the other questions involve clear knowledge of non-NES titles to answer...

Just a small gripe, the quiz was pretty good. :)

The thread title should read "an NES trivia" -- while NES starts with a consonant, it begins with a vowel sound -- and the a/an distinction is based on sound, not spelling.

Oh... 36%

I thought the same thing. I'm almost positive in subsequent Castlevania games, it was called Dracula's Castle.

got 4, 7 and 11 wrong.

Damn you James Banana.

Likewise. Same score and I equally assign blame to the cursed Mr. Banana. I assume he was one of the fake credits at the end of the game, like the references to Lon Chaney and Peter Lorre.

Castle Dracula, or Dracula's Castle is more proper, but some of the manuals call the castle Castlevania. I can't remember ever hearing it in game, and the term was not used for the Japanese versions until recently, but I have heard the castle itself called Castlevania before.
