Already gave my listing earlier in the thread, just some thoughts on other films mentioned here.
First, The Matrix, the first film in the series, was awesome. So orginal and innovative. The second two nearly killed the franchise. If they didn't kill it, they certainly put it on a resperator.
Terminator films. The first and second are awesome. The third should never have been made. Just seemed stupid, contrived, filled with holes, and just an attempt to cash in. Of course, we can all see a fourth one coming too. Ugh.
Aliens films. Again, the first two are awesome. Ridley Scott created a scary environment, and a female heroine to kick a nasty Alien's ass. James Cameron took it up a notch, and that was it. The next two films, which elminates it as a trilogy really, are just not that good. Alien 3 was got back to it's roots, but was only average, and Alien Resurrection was terrible.
