What the hell?

iTunes crashed on me, and now almost all of the mp3s I had in the iTunes folder has gone missing! Has this ever happened to anyone else?

It's possible to use iTunes without an iPod. Heck, the original poster didn't even mention an iPod.

iTunes has never crashed on me, but then again it might be because I'm using OS X

I'm using iTunes without having an iPod; a great way to organize all of my music, plus it allowed me to bring a lot of my brother's music to University with me, and kept me from having to bring a Stereo which I have no room for.
