I don't know why Nintendo did not show this thing using the classic shell as well it would have made things very easy
also they used so many people for the video and NO LEAKS![]()

I haven't seen any articles mention the remote's size.Memles said:Did any of the articles really talk about size/weight or were they so enthused with the mechanics that they forgot about it?

This could possibly mean the D pad would be the only part sticking out of the "shell" controller(s).

IGN Mockup. They also noted that it wasn't properly scaled.

In fact, it becomes 3rd rate, behind PS3 and XBox 360.

I like this. Just give it regular sized buttons and a diamond layout.Akia said:![]()

That's what I was thinking. Makes perfect sense given the nature of the grooves on the controller's side.Akia said:![]()

Ristamar said:I had considered the sideways pointer w/ shell, but:
1) It removes the pointer functionality from the controller, and...
2) The bottom of the pointer is not symmetrical when sideways.
A top loading design seems to make much more sense.
FitzOfRage said:If you consider that the point of the shell is basically to transform it into a more traditional controller, it's possible they're not to concerned about losing the pointer. And as long as you keep the design in mind when designing the shell, that would be an easy thing to incorporate.
At the very least, they should be able to save more money on the shell if they go with a horizontal layout that re-uses the Dpad and buttons from the "remote".
Man your just gonna bitch no matter what arentcha? Even at a mock-up.AB 101 said:Well, with a "classic" controller, then the Revolution becomes nothing special.
