Yeah, they've been popular in NY for like the past 2 years. I only bought one black Lacoste though for $30. Bought it from a friend. There's no way in hell that I'm spending $60+ on any shirt. I don't even remember ever buying jeans for more than $50.
The shirts look good though, especially if you have sneakers of the same color to match them. Most people I know just wear them with white sneakers, unless it's black like mines. I wear that with my black and green huarraches.
