Did you guys know that 24 is a instant hit in Japan. It's the first serie after The X-Files to be a massive overnight hit in Japan. They sell 24 DVD's with only 2 episodes per disc! :lol

This is more for the rental market - so someone wanting to see 24 on DVD (as most people in Japan would watch it, as I don't think it airs on TV) has to pay 12 x 2 rental charges, not 6 x 4.

It airs on Japanese TV.
And you can buy the first 3 seasons on DVD (Complete or seperate DVD's).

It's normal for Japan to release just a couple of episodes on DVD. It's the same with anime. And those DVD's aren't cheap!

24 is REALLY big. A lot of cinema's in Japan did a 24 marathon in a couple of cities.

And Jack Bauer can speak really good Japanese! :lol

two of the actors from 24 were on this hilarious japanese sketch show called one night...the lady that plays nina and then some older guy. anyway one of the characters put the box set in his pants and it was lol. hearing them try to speak japanese (and vice versa) was also lol.
