Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua Set for December 19

Watching Tyson pull his punches really pissed me off..
Yep. You can see the exact point it changed when Tyson was about to be his old self from the training videos and he caught him good, then they "huddled," and you can see Jake in his ear like WWE, then Tyson's face dropped and snapped back into bad acting going into limp mode mere seconds after that remained for the rest of the fake ass fight.

It was obvious to anyone who's watched the sport for decades and can rub two neurons together in the smooth jelly they call a brain.

Too many influencer grifters and "true believers" out there though to muddy the waters, sadly.

Here's an article from AJ's promoter, claiming that:

1. It's not a work, and AJ will go for the knockout
2. AJ was already planning to take an eight-round tuneup in November against a journeyman, so this is an opportunity to do the same thing for 50x the purse

For what it's worth, I don't think that Tyson fight was fixed. Tyson was nearly 40 years past his prime. I remember him getting beaten up by people like Danny Williams and Kevin McBride 20+ years ago, it was sad to watch. He was a shadow of his young self even then.

Tyson peaked incredibly young, and that's what people remember him for, but he was on an irreversible slide by the end of the 1980s.

We will agree to disagree.
Fair enough, but I don't think Tyson today would stand much of a chance against any professional boxer. Even those retired MMA fighters Jake Paul used to pad his resume would probably wreck him.

There are some boxers who I could imagine being able to put on a good show at an advanced age - Mayweather for instance - but the days of Tyson being super quick and dominant ended with the Buster Douglas fight.

He's still my all-time favourite fighter. I love those 1980s fights, he was a whirlwind of destruction. He's just one of those sportsmen who had a very brief, early period of supremacy, like George Best in football.

Watching that Tyson/Douglas fight back in 1990 Tyson clearly didn't have it anymore. I know it's cliche to bring it up but you wonder how Tyson would have done if Cus hadn't died or at least he didn't get involved with King. (Since didn't Tyson have a reputation under Cus as being a training machine? Marciano had a reputation as being ludicrously serious about his training 24x7 until he retired and that worked for him.)

Yeah, I think marrying Robin Givens was basically the end of prime Tyson. When he fought Douglas he was still only 23 but already past his peak and drowning in the celebrity swamp.

He was ridiculously fast for a heavyweight in his teens and early 20s, but once the speed was lost to drugs and alcohol, all he had was a puncher's chance. At age 58 he didn't even have that, hence the inability to land a decent shot on Jake Paul.

A civilian holding his own with a heavy weight boxing champion, not that far past his prime, would be a huge black eye for the sport. I really don't want to see this kid get hurt, but Anthony Joshua is in a really bad spot if he is not coming in there to knock his head off.

Sport has had a black eye for a long time, people just put the blinders on to it and don't want their illusion shattered. From ducking well-earned boxers to many, many judges decisions.

I still think pound for pound Terence Crawford would be the greatest fighter of all time if certain loud mouths didn't duck him so much. It's a shame, really. Wish the associations would force fights like other pro sports.

Here's the only thing giving me hope that this won't be fixed - Joshua's next fight is a big pay day against tyson fury in SA. If he were to lose or look really weak in this fight, to stage it, that could compromise the big money fight for Anthony and put him out of contention to get the belt back.

I already pay for netflix and it's friday - why not check it out. I'm down and hope that Jack gets laid out. He's the worst. The epidemy of a loser and it's not an act - he's just someone you know hates himself, has really low confidence and tries to make it up with acting like this. Smash time.

Yup, I don't think it's rigged or rules in place to favour Paul (other than the target weight which wasn't a problem, unlike other fights of his that had heavier gloves etc.)

For one, it's a sanctioned Pro fight that has betting allowed so if it is rigged then that would be illegal/fraud
AJ does not need the money (his net worth us way more than Jake Paul's)
AJ would risk his whole career if it was rigged
I very much Usyk's team would have anything to do with him if it was rigged

logan and jake are awesome. i doubt jake can win but it would be funny if he kos aj, aj is a chinny overrated boxer so you never now.

The maverick Logan Paul is awesome, the brother is a crackhead waster attention seeker. Hopefully in a few years he's ODd and gone while The Mav is undisputed WWF Champion and continuing to produce fantastic new flavors for PRIME®, the ultimate hydration beverage.
