Sup Wrassle-GAF! As I full-time lurker I just wanna say a big thanks for all the entertainment over the last year. You guys have the best community on GAF (after the demise of the RB megathreads anyway).

I need a favour though. I need recommendations (looking to make a Kindle purchase in the next few hours) on wrestling books. I've read Adam Copeland's and both of Jericho's and found all 3 to be thoroughly entertaining. I'm not sure where to go next, I guess Foley's books are essential reading but I'm also open to books about the industry rather than just autobographies. It may help that I prefer reading about the goings on backstage at major promotions rather than the origin story of where they trained and so-forth.

First of all, you didn't shake my hand.

Second of all, some books off the top of my head:

The Death of WCW

Jericho's books

Foley's books

I haven't read Bret Hart's latest book, but I hear it's interesting.

Oh shit.

I was just getting back from visiting family in Texas and arrived home at the Nashville International Airport and saw WWE's Undertaker passing by me. Not sure if this means he'll be on Raw or not but I figured I shoot you the pic I took of him as I passed by him. He looked pissed maybe because it'll mess up his return.

Skinny-Taker is best Taker. Also I'm wondering if this guy literally walked in front of him and snapped the picture.

Isn't he usually backstage at live events?

How awesome would it be of they just flew a bunch of random wrestlers to different airports just to work the net. :lol

they do that for the rumble. A few years back I remember they flew it christian while he was still injured (even though he wasn't ready to compete) just to throw people off.

Guys, it's Taker, this was settled on NWA
Yup and I really liked Biker taker when he debuted, I thought the matches was really cool and it was neat cause you could tell Taker was enjoying doing something new.

Last Ride is awesome, or just cause I like power bombs

No idea whether it's on Kindle or not, but Terry Funk's autobiography is a good read with lots of insight into his lengthy career.

Also, it's print only, but I can highly recommend Stan Hansen's book 'The Last Outlaw;

Lots of great stories from his time in various promotions in Japan & the US and a lot of insight into how the wrestling industry worked back then compared to now.

New theory: it's JERICHO AND UNDERTAKER. But they're not going to face each other like last year. Because one or the other just seems too obvious.

Do you still watch wrasslin? how come you never post during RAW and PPVs?
It's pretty rare I have time to watch more than two weeks in a row, plus I cut my cable cord years ago. Usually watch Netflix or at friends' houses if there's something in particular I want to catch.

Plus this thread is much more entertaining than anything Vince has done since 2005.

1. *shakes hand*
2. Bolds the text indicating you didn't read my post ;)

I think I'm gonna jump straight into Foley's books tbh as I think I should read them at some point anyway. However, I know this thread moves fast, but any more recommendations would be much appreciated.

Also, I can't wait for Brodus' return tomorrow either.

I've heard alot of good things about Foley's first book. Seems to widely be considered his best work.

Just recieved some hot information that
Brock Lesnar
was seen in a Nashville airport today.

yeah book is the shit son, get on it.

Also it's becoming increasingly obvious that Taker and Jericho will return tonight as a tag team to take on the one and only AIR BOOM.

Former WWE star MVP recently did an interview for The Miami Herald, and the following are some highlights. You can check out the entire article by clicking in the above link.

"I guess more than anything it was that my contract was coming to a close," he tells the Miami Herald. "I had a year left on my contract. John Laurinaitis was coming to me to re-sign like he had a number of times. I had actually been avoiding him because I hadn’t made my decision yet. I was still trying to figure out what I wanted to do. I hadn't come to terms with my decision. "On a professional level it was a culmination of a lot of things. I just wasn't happy anymore and felt I wasn't being given the opportunities that I had been given previously. It was time for me to make a decision, and I didn't want to re-sign. I asked if I could be out of that final year so I could go and pursue my original dream of wrestling in Japan."

WWE's Executive Vice President of Talent Relations respected his decision. MVP feels he receives unnecessary flack.

"I have to say John Laurinaitis gets a bad rap from a lot of people," MVP said. "He is in a really crappy position. His job makes you very unpopular. He and I had a good relationship. He was the guy that hired me and gave me my first opportunity. John Laurinaitis, a.k.a. Johnny Ace, spent 10 years in Japan with the All Japan [Pro Wrestling] promotion. He and I would talk about Japanese wrestling all the time over beers."

Here you go, my current V7. That should cover almost everybody...
(No doubt I probably missed somebody.)

You can post this one, since I don't plan on doing any more major changes.
If somebody's not on there, they're likely a Hidden Character or Surprise Entry.

Yeah I'm in the center of the poster! Also damn nice work.

How would you guys feel if Mr. Belding was Raw GM?

Celebrity Trying to Become WWE's New RAW General Manager

Posted by Marc Middleton on 01/01/2012
- Actor Dennis Haskins, better known as Mr. Belding from Saved By The Bell, recently spoke with MemphiSport.com about his quest to become WWE's RAW General Manager.

There is a petition going around on Twitter to get Haskins hired by WWE as the RAW General Manager. Haskins has appeared on Zack Ryder's YouTube show and is a known wrestling fans. There was talk months back of Haskins hosting RAW but it never happened.

The petition currently has less than 400 signatures. Haskins is asking fans to bring "Belding For GM" signs to Monday's RAW Supershow in Memphis. He has received the support from guys like Ryder, The Miz, CM Punk, Diamond Dallas Page and others.

Speaking of wrestling books, has anyone read Regal's or Goldust's books? I've been interested in getting Regal's and heard Goldie's had some crazy stuff in it.
