NXT has a new intro video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEWec3jp6Ns

I guess they're finally admitting that NXT is their unofficial third brand now.

well..the old intro was down to 3 guys and none of their pros were around anymore. Black Cena's pro was Chavo. Titus was Horns...Horns bailed out on him...Bateman's random appearance didn't even have a pro...the rest of the rookies in the intro were FE'd

lol somebody gif Alica doing YESSSSSSSSSS GIRRRRRRRRRRRRLLLLLLLL

Can someone explain to me why Macho Man's theme is so similiar to our(UK) millitary anthems?

Macho Man's music, Pomp and Circumstance, is public domain.

Unless you're talking about his "Be A Man" album that was a sick Hogan burn.

Man, Macho Man's album was a classic. I bet they had that shit on repeat at his funeral.

From what I recall he didn't want it played at his funeral out of respect for Gorgeous George (I), who used the music before him
EDIT: Just re-read your post and you said album not entrance. Disregard

Just realized the chick in your avatar is the girl from Hellcats, and that Family Channel show
She's super hot now
Yeah she was on a funny disney channel show(something I never thought Id say)

And yes she's super hot and I took her away from plywood like a cruiserweight title. True story.

OK, here's something fun, since we've been doing a few similar exercises. A mystery benefactor decides to hire you to put together a new wrestling federation, with a solid starting budget of around $15-25 million (just so you know how much you're playing with here; it's not infinite money). They want you to go out and 25 talents to start the company with. "TV" will basically be an online-streamed deal, along with PPVs.

There's a few other things to keep in mind:

- Since you're not made of infinite money, guys like Cena and Angle are probably not going to be affordable ... not like their respective companies would let them go anyways.
- WWE, TNA and ROH will move to protect their current champions at all costs. (a.k.a., they are unavailable)
- Talent signed to WWE Legends contracts are not available.

Which talent do you pick to start your wrestling company, and what direction do you take it in? I'd really like to see what people come up with, just for the heck of it.

Who do I pick? Who do I pick...I want a mix of hard-edge, believable-looking dudes. No JoMos here. Lots of monsters - think Batista, think Mason Ryan, and more. I wouldn't get too deep into what names I'd hire, but a lot of others like Luke Gallows and other somewhat-recently FE'd dudes for this exciting venture coming to HBO or Showtime, because it's time to make it real and believable...and uncensored.

That's right. Blood. Kayfabe. Death! and more. It'll be theatrical, pit-fighting type of rasslin'...with a grown-ass edge. That's my plan, seriously - and I wouldn't want any current champions. I want monsters, I want blood and nudity, and more. Let's make it happen. Rasslin for grown ups. If you're a kid, no. No no no.

Meh... I'd love to see what Chikara could do with a massive budget. I'll just divert funds that way and see just what they could do with it.

Ideal would be them creating some sort of Saturday morning television show
EDIT: I like that the first two responses went in opposite directions

Looks like I was right:

– Triple H attended New York Giants’ practice Wednesday as they prepared for their NFL Playoff game against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. According to PopTheCrowd.com, Triple H was in town with WWE officials to finalize a deal to bring WrestleMania 29 or WrestleMania 30 to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

How pissed is GAF going to be if Wrestlemania 30 isn't at MSG?

Also, isn't that stadium outdoors? If the WWE goes there for Wrestlemania, I hope it snows.

The thing is, since my fed's idea would be taped, and even rehearsed and more theater - and no 'live' events (without a crowd that wasn't acting as well) it could be presented in a more realistic way with special effects. For instance, Kane dragging Zack Ryder into...below the ring? That's silly. We could be offing dudes!

I think there's a market for this kind of theater - and the fact that in something like this, anything goes could truly mean that.

Yeah it is, and New York/New Jersey in April isn't the nicest climate. There are still some cold ass days in April, especially early April.

Buy a majority share (or whatever) in Chikara, beef up the roster with some midcarders from the 3 main companies (off the top of my head I'd get Delirious, Samoa Joe, Austin Ares, Curry Man, and probably try to get Sandow, Rollins, and Ambrose from FCW.) secure a timeslot in syndication on Saturday mornings. Think late 80's WWF. Might not do huge business but I've thought for a while that something like that would at least be popular and profitable.

I'm not sure which talent that I'd want as a center piece to my organization.

I'd have it focus on the wrestling with thought out, long term storylines. For every minute of promo or backstage stuff, there'd be 5 minutes of wrestling. There wouldn't be any "I DON'T LIKE WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY BUT I RESPECT YOUR RIGHT TO SAY IT". But there'd be some theatrical stuff like what we saw when Kane was trying to pull Ryder into the ring.

There wouldn't be any blood, but I'd be okay with having matches on awhile with some good bumps like a TLC match or hardcore matches. But mostly gimmick matches like that would be reserved for special occassions. PPVs would be once every 2 months to allow for a proper build up and culmination of feuds. Titles would be defended every week, whether it be against a jobber or a competent challenger and regardless of their feuding status to help add prestige to the titles but I wouldn't be against having the "2nd tier" title be the main event of the night and having the challenger win.

It'd be rated PG-13. Saying ass and bitch would be good in my books. Women would dress somewhat scantily clad, but not necessarily being seen in a thong everytime they're on TV. I don't think I'd have a women's title unless I could get a group of 6 competent female wrestlers. Chicks like Kelly Kelly and the Brie's would be valets while Beth, Natalya wrestle.

I gotta say it'd be sketchy not to have it at MSG. It's a tradition!!

I think wrasslegaf should backyard wrestle, we'll go do it at Entropia's house

Well clearly someone's been ignoring years of "Don't try this at home" reels.
You'll rupture a disc that fragments into your spinal collar whilst having surgery 5 times on your left knee at this rate.

could they not have mania in another larger stadium in NYC if they wanted to get a bigger crowd but keep the tradition of having mania in New York every 10 years?

MSG is awesome and WWE really should do more TV there. I think they do house shows there every 2/3 months but only do TV once every few years.

Cmon Owl it'll be fun.

I got hurt a few times, like when Tom f'n cruise repeatedly beat me with a cookie sheet or when I was violently thrown over a fence during a royal rumble.

First match me against Sunflower, gonna Jackknife powerbomb him on a picnic table

I remember my boiler room brawl (there was no boiler room) which ended with me taking a plastic golf ball to the nether regions from a toy putter, CZW has nothing on that.

Why do they want to do an outdoor WM in New Jersey in late March? Only reason I can think of is just the fact that MetLife is so massive they could cram lots of people in there.

And this would have to be WM30, I'd guess. You want to go home for that big anniversary.

I am fan of this Big Show, then Kane booking for the RR. Big SHow comes in, dominates everyone, who could stop this guy? BOOM, Kane comes out

People were mentioning earlier a RR thread when the day has come, or the night before - would coincide with OT2 if we're continuing at the same rate. I'd be all for this, because of our RR game/lottery/assignments. How does everyone else feel that OT2 should basically just be the Royal Rambler thread?

Yeah, I was thinking just an official OT for the RR.

Okay everyone (except G-Fex), today is NPD over in Gaming-Age, so be careful to not get banned!

Just a warning.

SMH Gaming forum.

I never understood that obsession with sales, unless you are in the stupid company itself. TV Ratings are different.

OMG HHH WON THE ROYAL RUMBLE, WOW WHAT A ACHIEVEMENT FOR TRIPLE H, HES GOING TO WRESTLEMANIA!

OK, firstly I'd have the promotion focus on presenting wrestling as a sport, matches would almost always result in a win or a loss, with little run-in shenanigans or outside interference - win/loss records would play a big factor in deciding who does and who doesn't get title shots, but while the promotion would strive to present a serious, competitive attitude, it would also allow for a diverse range of styles and characters. However, instead of promos or backstage segments, there would be a sort of reality TV style diary room where wrestlers could book a couple of minutes to promote themselves, put over their matches, bury the competition, etc. There would also be title signings for every championship title shot, so as to further enhance the importance of the belts. Also, I would foster working relationships and talent exchanges with many overseas companies such as Pro Wrestling NOAH, AJPW, DDT, BJW, wXw, 1PW, FWA, OZ Academy, Ice Ribbon, SMASH, etc.

There would be 4 titles in the promotion; the Heavyweight Championship, the Internet TV Championship, the Tag Team Championship and the Women's Championship, as well as numerous World Invitational Tournaments held over the course of the year that could be cashed in for guaranteed title shots. The roster would be divided like so;

Heavyweight Division;

Sami Callihan
Colt Cabana
Chris Hero
Satoshi Kojima
Takeshi Morishima
Kevin Steen
Akira Taue
Hiroyoshi Tenzan
Dick Togo
Silas Young

Internet TV Championship Division;

El Generico
Matt Jackson
Nick Jackson
Willie Mack
Kenny Omega
Zack Sabre Jr.
Marty Scurll
TJP

Tag Team Championship Division;

LDRS of the New School - (Zack Sabre Jr. & Marty Scurll)
The Nightmare Violence Connection - (Kevin Steen & Akira Tozawa)
Ten-Koji - (Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima)
The Young Bucks - (Nick & Matt Jackson)
Weapons of Mass Destruction - (Takeshi Morishima & Willie Mack)

Women's Championship Division;

Serena Deeb
Sara Del Rey
Madison Eagles
Ayako Hamada
Kana
Jessie McKay
Portia Perez
