Regarding those SD spoilers...
*Sheamus vs. Jinder Mahal was announced for next week's show.
I imagine the anticipation is going to build to mammoth proportions here!
Absolutely.

Scheduling a month old filler match from Raw for next Friday? Smackdown is really starting to catch up!

Bryan Alvarez is only relevant because he's latched on to Dave Meltzer. His passion for pro wrestling is long gone from the Eyada days and I honestly believe he only keeps up with it because he earns a pretty good living off of it doing wacky bullshit with his buddies on the audio shows. You can tell MMA is his passion now, which I don't fault him for. I just think he's severely overrated when it comes to being a reporter in the the wrestling business.

Even Meltzer you can tell puts MMA first, wrestling second now-a-days, but at least he still does a reasonably good job of keeping up with the wrestling biz and offers scoops on pretty much a weekly basis.

Because Yahoo pays him well to cover MMA.

What's up with Jinder's push? :lol

It's an election year, so the WWE figured they'd show patriotism by building up Jinder Mahal, only to have him squashed later in the year by Sgt. Slaughter applying Jinder's
and his own
own finisher on him and then walking around the ring waving a USA flag.

so i had a dream, punk is the sell out baby face that has the title now. he replaces cena as the corporate champion and pleads to the crowd for reactions with his 5 moves of doom and shitty theme song. he caters to the new little jimmies

jericho's whole gimmick is to call that out. he shows how easy it is to pander to these marks and get a reaction by going YEAH YEAH YEAH and calls punk out on his bullshit. like motherfucker you were supposed to bring change, be the voice of the voiceless now CM just stands for Company Man. im here to bring real change. *pulls out the old WWF belt.

then Royal rumble winner Brock Lesner walks in with both men cowering, but Lesner says he doesnt have time for this cause he already won another title. He wants the streak ! then lights go out and a dead undertaker lies on the ring before kane drags his body to hell. kane lesner taker, punk-jericho, cena-dwayne

Former WWE star John "Morrison" Hennigan will be working his first post-WWE departure bout on 2/4 in Manilla in The Philippines for a promotion titled World Wrestling Fan Xperience at the Smart Arnareta Coliseum.

Hennigan is replacing a previously scheduled Ken Anderson and will be facing Shelton Benjamin.

WWFX is running with a pretty loaded roster of former WWE names, including MVP, Melina, MVP, Chris Masters, Carlito Colon, Luke Gallows, Rhino, Jimmy Yang, Shawn Daivari, Jillian Hall, Gene Snitsky and Billy Gunn.

Hall vs. Melina and MVP vs. Masters has also been announced for the event.

That sounds like a future endeavored league.

Several top WWE developmental talents recently went on the road with the main roster, here is the report of how they did…

* FCW Champion Leo Kruger: Kruger got solid marks for pre-match mi work, playing up the gimmick of the top African athlete while working heel. The feeling is that he needs to project more and connect with the audience better. They think he has a good look.

* Seth Rollins: Rollins got high marks for his in ring work, as well as he selling as a babyface. Rollins worked a lot with Tyson Kidd on the road.

* Dean Ambrose: Ambrose is reportedly viewed highly by management, both in his mic work and how he handled himself backstage. Word is that if they could find the right role for him on TV, that his delivery and voice will translate well to TV.

Please for the love of god get Ambrose on my tv!

As I noted yesterday in my Elite Audio Hotline, Brodus Clay was written into the script for Monday's Raw, squashing a local talent but was pulled from plans for the broadcast over the course of the day. This is hardly the first time Clay was yanked from Raw plans. One source joked that Clay is in the script every week and then pulled.

There have been early plans for Clay to have a strong showing in the Royal Rumble match later this month, so he'll either be debuting shortly (finally) or simply debut in that match at the PPV.

13 years ago today Mick Foley won his first world title. This is still my favorite Raw memory ever. Listen to that pop when Austin comes out and then Foley wins.

"Mankind has achieved his dream, and the dream of everyone that's been told "You can't do it.""
"Nooo! You can't do it!"

Great commentary. Loved the spot where Mankind puts on the headset:

"Mankind's looking real good right now. Showing a lot of testicular fortitude."

So, you're saying that a well booked storyline with villains to boo and heroes to cheer for all competing for the the very important world title makes for good TV?

I RESPECT YOUR OPINION AND WILL FIGHT FOR YOU TO SAY IT AND RISE ABOVE HATE.
