Knowing our luck someone grabs the license and continues using Yukes to make the games thus the cycle of mediocrity continues.
They go to......someone else.
Obviously
Thanks a lot. I would have never guessed. I'm asking who do you think will save wrasslin games?
I haven't a clue who else makes wrasslin games man.
Aki's dead isn't it?
Deos that mean Yukes are dead too or do they just get a new publisher?

Ohhhh Yukes makes the games. THQ is just a publisher, that explains it.
Well yukes will keep making the same ol' game.
I've always maintained that it's either WWE or THQ input that ruins the WWE games. Yuke's Wrestle Kingdom I & II games are both excellent, and WKII was only 5 years ago.
I just checked it out, assuming I looked at the right game it seemed to lean in the direction of the AKI games.
Coming to think of it Yukes made the Gamecube WWE games as well which were pretty good aside from X8. Maybe THQ were indeed the toxic touch upon the recent WWE games.
by the way guys, I've got some good news.
I want us to try to e-fed through the awesomeness that is Fire pro wrestling returns, I want to see how that goes seeing as how expansive in customization it is.
Sega should by the WWE licence, and get Sports Interactive to do Wrestling Manager 2013. I would buy the shit out of that.
DAY OF RECKONING 3!
My favorite is still the games developed by AKI. How I'm still waiting for them to develop a new WWE wrestling game.

That is awesome news!
Considering the sheer profanity my brother spews when playing Football manager I'm not sure I could trust myself with this, i'd be ranting about the low ratings of my show or something.Sega should buy the WWE licence, and get Sports Interactive to do Wrestling Manager 2013. I would buy the shit out of that.
I would mark out to the point of injury. I'd mark out further to the point of death if AKI/Syn Sophia got to expand upon No MercyDAY OF RECKONING 3!
I've never played Fire Pro Wrestling. Obviously heard nothing but praise.
Is it the customization that makes it so good?
500 CAW slots, a huge list of moves to choose from. Also the gameplay whether you sim or play is very close to a sim in the fact that you can't do big moves off the start of the match. You do small moves and strikes to weaken your opponent enough to start doing bigger moves.
Also you can really give each wrestler a personality if you learn how to edit their logic in matches. Which is really in depth. It's fun.
EA were supposed to be looking for the WWE licence when THQ were having problems with it a few years back. If they get it, EA will either take it to an internal studio - or maybe buy THQ San Diego (WWE All Stars) and rebrand them as a EA studio. No way AKI is getting involved if EA get the licence - and to be honest don't see the licence going anywhere else.

Oh, man -- if EA got the license?![]()
Sounds good for the computer controlled matches we have.
Though if it's that insane for customization, it seems like a lot to have one guy do all of our CAWs in full?
You can only play if you have an Origin account.![]()
If EA picks up the WWE license.............please, for the love of all that is holy, do not use any form of the WCW Mayhem/Backstage Assault engine.

Amazingly enough, both WCW Mayhem and Backstage Assault had better commentary than any of the Smackdown vs. Raw games.
At least that aspect of the game will probably be improved if it goes to EA.
But can we all just agree now that no matter who buys what.... Yukes should die.

Yeah I noticed that too. The commentary feels more natural in that one clip than in any time I've watched WWE '12.
Just read the news that THQ is dead. I really hope EA gets the WWE license. EA is tops in presentation on their sports games and I would love to see it get away from Yuke's.
I didn't see the exact spot where he got injured, but it could have been any number of spots. The match certainly seemed a bit off and there were more than a few blown spots, so it could easily have happened early on in the match and I just missed it.
Hope Gargano's OK though, as he really looked badly shaken after the match, just lying there on the mat until some help managed to gingerly lift him from the ring. I thought it was his leg at first and they were just waiting for a stretcher, but once he got to his feet on the floor he was really badly favouring his right arm, so I thought it could've been his shoulder, but the fact that it's being reported as a back injury leads me to believe he caught a nasty stinger.
Actually, thinking about it, he could've been hurt when Ricochet hit a springboard DDT on the apron, but Gargano didn't land on his head as Ricochet's momentum flipped him all the way round and on to his back, then Ricochet followed up with a Death Valley Driver on the apron that looked pretty nasty.
Could this be the first mayor victim of the current apron craze on the indies?
Hopefully this will limit apron moves since they look really dangerous.

RBH said:I've always hated those moves done on the apron.
High risk, little reward.
