I don't want "love angles" at ALL. It's like NXT becoming a legit soap opera, I don't care about that crap. People complain about Hollywood blockbusters, or network TV shows shoehorning romance subplots into their scripts, and that exactly how I feel about it in wrestling. Get this corny, F-grade soap opera crap out of my action movie. The closest I'd get to accepting one is the "jealous boyfriend" gimmick because at least then there's a LOGICAL reason for 2 or more people to FIGHT about it. But once they start showing the inner workings of backstage relationships in the company it's like....WHO_GIVES_A_SHIT_HARRISONFORD.gif

Sounds classy or the opposite depending on how you look at it, makes a change from the mostly generic style of entrance theme that most are saddled with at least. On the other hand it will be a constant reminder of those Teddy Long segments which isn't so great.
That he was, shame King and/or Cole had to ruin it by apparently getting him demoted. It's like every good commentator gets removed, from JBL to J.R.

The problem with introducing an openly gay character is wrestling fans are, by and large, ignorant, bottom feeding, lowest common denominator white trash. And rassling promoters know that so they'd inevitably use said character's sexual orientation as a gimmick to get cheap heel heat just because most of the crowd is going to be booing him at best or chanting a variety of things that Grant Hill would not approve of, at worst.

He was really great to watch in the ring in the months just before he signed, too. Did some good stuff to interact with the fans and generally be funny while an intimidating performer. My local wrasslin' fan group were absolutely overjoyed when we learned he was going to the majors.
