I'm just not sure who they throw against Big E at the moment. The Shield and the Wyatts are busy at the moment. Most of the other guys are locked up in tag teams.
That leaves Barrett Brodus and Del Rio.
This is as dumb an argument as D-Bry losing last night and not being in the Rumble is for him being "buried".

Ain't about the pop. The "Yes Movement" made that pretty clear.
I dunno what Big E did but he went from working with Cena in the main event twice to be eliminated quick out the Rumble and not even on tv tonight.

Other people not on the show or mentioned and therefore buried:
CM Punk
Kane's abs
El Torito
Damien Sandow
3MB
The Rock
PTP
Khali
Zack Ryder
Mark Henry
Big Show
Santino
Vince McMahon
Bring back Bo from NXT. He already beat Big E for a belt once before, he sure as fuck can do it again!

Bo Dallas getting a Honky Tonk Man style run with the belt would be Bo-atloads of fun.

Oh man Spoony brings up a hell of a good point.
Where was Cena's anger for Orton punching his dad?
Nope nothing, just another Cena/Orton match.
So, I haven't watched wrestling in about 10+ years. Grantland's article on last night's Royal Rumble brought me back, but I ended up missing it. I also ended up missing Raw, but judging by some of the impressions in this very thread, it seems I didn't miss much.
What has turned me away for so long is the blandness of the wrestlers, and it seems nothing has changed. When I watched it (Attitude Era - Ruthless Aggression Era), there was diversity amongst the stable: Grapplers, Submissioners, High-flyers, Hardcore specialists, Strikers, etc. Now though, everyone wrestles the same, uses the same tactics, and uses some of the same gimmicks (R-Truth, for example, seems like Booker-T without the charisma). And those are the ones that AREN'T getting any push. But the ones that are, are even more bland because it's the same match-ups OVER AND OVER again. I mean, how many times can John Cena wrestle Randy Orton before the shit becomes redundant? How many times can Vince McMahon completely ignore his roster for Cena, Orton, and whoever the returning legend is?
I'm gonna try to watch SmackDown next week. Hopefully, I won't miss it, and I'll see something that will make me come back. I also want to see Daniel Bryan, because GAF seems to love him...
Remember when Orton nearly raped Triple H's wife, and then they met at WM and the first thing they did was a basic pro wrestling lockup?
The more things change....

lmao @ watching Smackdown.
Smackdown is where storyline progression goes to die. It's a nothing show. That is unless you enjoy TV matches and artificial crowd noise.
Remember when Kane and Daniel Bryan attacked everyone in the ring with chairs on Smackdown? That was fun.
Yup, zero psychology involved. Felt like two dudes just trying to do the usual rounds like the house show matches they've been having for like, ever.
Was that over 3 months ago? Because, if yes, IDK what you're talking about, Bryan and Kane were never friends.

This man will change everything.

I fucking hate Cena. YOUVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR LIKE 15 YEARS NOW!
It actually had LESS intensity than the majority of their matches. So weird. There was zero intensity or hatred in that match, when the whole thing was built on Cena being super pissed about what Orton did to his dad. I don't think that was even brought up during the match. In fact, I recall "traditional" and "classic style" being used to describe the match, which is the opposite of what it should have been. Should have been some crazy over booked gimmicky match with Cena trying to kill Orton. Like an inverse of Cena vs Umaga.
Oh right. I guess it was a dream. I can't shake off the notion that Heyman hired Maddox though.
It was the episode where Edge came back for a night. That was over 15 months ago tho.
AJ IS UP NEXT!
Thanks for letting me know I can go take a shit.
if you went from being WHC and/or WWE champ, why would you go fight over a lesser title?
The only people that pulled this off was
Jericho
JBL
Flair
and the murderer
All these guys that have been champ are just stuck in a bowl where they wait to be fed to Cena or Orton.

LMAO
Everything means something when Y2J is booked in a program with it at stake.Y2J was so damn good on every title level. The IC champ meant something then.

Honestly, it's cause they fucking knew this whole thing was a mess. Even for professionals such as themselves.
Just saw the Rumble. Those last few minutes was really depressing. Even in the past Rumbles where unpopular fan choices won the boos were insignificant.
Batista felt like he had this "why are they booing" look too.
One thing I wondered though: why Sandow stayed for a bit at ringside. Was he supposed to be a part of a spot which didn't push through?
As for Big E, I'd like him to face Rusev. Even if Bo is a perfect fit for the Honky Tonk role.
"They'd never come" got no reaction. I wish it was still the Attitude Era.
Even if Cena decided to go Brock Lesnar on Orton, I don't think the crowd would have cared.
Is Brock the only believable monster in WWE at this point?

Current names of people in development: Tyler Breeze, Adrian Neville, Corey Graves, Alexander Rusev, CJ Parker, Aiden English. Just try to guess personalities based on those names.
DAT BOOTY
I would love to eat off that ass.
What?
I assume Sandow is getting repackaged soon. His promo before the Rumble, his quick elimination and reaction, and then not being on or mentioned on Raw makes me think he's probably going to be taken off TV for a while and given a tweaked gimmick. Probably more vicious or something. I wouldn't be surprised to not see him until after Mania.

[hits beef with pizza rolls box]
Pizza rolls don't come in boxes, dipshit.
...possibly. If they'd gone that route, we might have gotten something other than the coloring book of wrestling matches. Biggest takeaway though is that it's apparent that the two top guys in the company just didn't care to tell the story in the ring at one of the Big 4.
