Arabaki Rock Fest is taking place on the first holiday of Golden Week 4/29/05 in Sendai. There's gonna be 50 bands across 5 stages and it seems like a mix of a few big names and a lot of indie bands. The music style seems focused on rock/ska/punk. Tickets are insanely expensive at 8000yen, but I guess they gotta pay all 50 bands somehow.
I'm kinda on the fence about going. While I've been to some Japanese shows, I've never been to a huge multi-stage event in Japan so I'm curious to see what it's like over here. Also I do like Sendai so I wouldn't mind taking a trip down there and doing some touring. But then the ticket price is indeed expensive and I only recognize about 10 or so of the 50 bands.
Anyone in Japan without Golden Week plans interested in going?
