Yep. Looks promising so far.

And they're talking Arrested Development up as much as possible at the moment, heh.

:D

-edit-

And then came the monkey poop.

Monkeys Throwing Poop at Celebrities...wow, SNL isn't even trying anymore.

Wow, Weekend Update was pretty good. Amy Poehler >>>>>>>> Jimmy Fallon, that's for sure.

I was thinking:

Corn in turds >>> Amy Poehler = Jimmy Fallon :p

There were a LOT of stupid jokes this week, and Weekend Update is basically the only thing I look forward to on SNL.

I could have sworn that the actor who played Luke on The O.C. was in the "Gays in Space" sketch. He passed out the drinks...in those insanely short shorts.

Wow, Kelly Clarkson sounds really off tonight.

At least we know it's her really singing.

And at least we know that she can actually SING, too. :p

When she paused for a second, I was like, "Phew! No backup track." :D

I've only seen a few bits but "Gays in Space" was hilarious.

Yeah, that wasn't too bad; Bateman played it really well. I liked the random Maya Rudolph singing the theme song at the beginning and the end too.

can someone explain, I didn't get it, they started talking funny and then Kennan came in and from there I was lost...

Keenan Thompson played Fat Albert in the recent live action film version. Thus, it was implied that, in order to guarantee sequels, he should stop doing a Cosby impression to make fun of him, especially in regards to molestation charges.

It was an alright SNL episode. Kelly Clarkson can really sing, as was clearly demonstrated by her skits, but the problem with the other songs is that they aren't belting songs. Note that in the choruses and bridges she sounds pretty damn good...but the verses are too mellow, and her voice is suited best for the power stuff, as seen on the subway. Nice to see a musical act get involved, though, and she is a good-natured person with enough natural charisma to pull off the minimal work she was given.

I must admit, the biggest laugh had to have been the Gesture Dyslexia. My god, that was brilliant. And no, that was not Chris Carmack (Who played Luke on The O.C.) who was handing out the drinks. It was some random buff, blonde male model.

My favorite skit overall, though, had to be the Bill Curtis skit. It took me a minute to figure out who they were talking about, but then it hit me, and the impression was spot-on. It was great Darrell Hammond, as it was purely an impression and that was the joke. Love it. Also got some laughs out of the quite awesome T.T. and Mario skit. Especially the Earthquake song's ending. Maya Rudolph had a good, random singing filled episode. Just the looks on their faces after they finished each song were worth it.

That could've been the funniest thing Chris Parnell's done on SNL. Sad to think that considering how long Parnell's been on the cast.

C'mon, his first rap song about his date with Britney is absolutely classic. Also, that other song he did for the intro to Bill Murrary's Hollywood gynecologist sketch was great. He's had lots of little bits of brilliance, he's just not the kind of guy sketches should be focused around.

Yeah, but that was the best part of weekend update.

Because of the Fat Albert and the money and the sequels. :lol
