Jason Bourne Reboot Eyed as Rights Leave Universal

First was great and could've been a great one off with an ambiguous ending. I can rewatch it anytime, but everything afterwards just felt seriously lacking

I hope they reboot the entire trilogy without shaky cam and instead utilize a cast who is great at stuntwork.

While 1 is...good enough, 2 and 3 have especially aged poorly in terms of camera work.

There are 2 movies that I simply can't watch thanks to the parkinson's camera work. Bourne 2/3 and Ang Lee's Hulk.

It shakes to a point that you can't understand what's happening in the action scenes.

Every Taken movie after part 1 gave me the same issues. I'm very glad that the combo of extreme shaky cam+multi-cuts was a trend that slowly died out. This stuff was headache inducing:

I liked the trilogy a lot. Everything after was just a cheap cash grab.

I couldn't be any less interested in a reboot, remake, or whatever the fuck they are up to.

Hilarious but true. All you hear are them grunting as they're pounding each other. Part 1 is an enjoyable movie. Part 2 is alright and the rest are shit IMO.

The first (and maybe second) was good because it felt fresh to have such a "grounded" approach, where everything felt weighty and immediate.

I remember one of the later ones making me groan with how completely they abandoned that premise... it became the typical idiotic nonsense where every fbi/cia agent just magically can move through every border or hack any device instantaneously like dumb super heroes. I truly, truly hate the "every agent is a master hacker and can do amazing shit like a marvel hero" version of spy movies, absolute trash. Surprising that this series fell so far to reach that point.

She's actually lost a lot of weight. She's still going through on her weight loss journey but she looks a lot smaller now.

Coming soon Tom holland and Timothy chlamet as Jason borne.

I can actually buy Tom Holland as he was a dancer and gymnast. He did most of his own stunts in Uncharted and a lot of fight choreography is just "can you do this kick like this? Perfect!" ... Sofia Boutella in The Kingsman had no martial arts training and made me think she actually did because she's an amazing dancer.

Sounds like Tom is more Billy Elliot than Jason bourne

I mean, why not?

At least for me, what made Bourne movies fun to watch was simply the idea of Bourne being competent, and step ahead of everyone.

I also liked The Bourne Legacy which was a spin-off.

Let me guess...the reboot will start Peter dinklage as Michael smallBourne, his unknown brother from his past, out for revenge of some sort..

Otherwise it will go to a female...probably whoopie goldshit.

The movies diverged from the books quite a bit, could redo and be more faithful. Not sure who can possibly play the role, probably will get something fucking stupid like Tom Holland or Pedro Pascal.
