I bought it. I am curious enough about the handling mentioned in the video below. Everything else sounds fun.
Are you playing with a wheel? I can't make heads or tails of the drifting with a wheel. Messed around driving for 15 mins and just can't seem to find the sweet spot.First hour or so, really fun. Map is detailed and the roads are windy and twisty and narrow. Have only drove 3 cars, but they all drove different and felt fun to drive. I just test drove a 3000GT and it did not drift good so for racing that might be a good buy. Of course you could probably upgrade/tune however you want. The sounds are good, some decent radio choices, performance is..well I had my monitor locked to 60hz for streaming, and it was a bit stuttery but that could have just been my settings. When I changed my monitor to 120hz it's much better. I'm getting like 70+fps now I think? probably more in some areas. Mirrors tank performance btw.
Seems good and I can't wait for them to build upon this. Cops would be fun to have, multiplayer lobbies, expanded maps/different biome types. They could even add Rally racing to this and it would be amazing.
I will be this evening or tomorrow sometime. Jimmy Broadbent is using a wheel, maybe check in his video he just streamed now.Are you playing with a wheel? I can't make heads or tails of the drifting with a wheel. Messed around driving for 15 mins and just can't seem to find the sweet spot.
25.49$ / 22.59€ @ CDKeys$26.17 on GMG seems to be the best price so far.

It's certainly rough round the edges! It's gotta be decent if Friday Gaf in the house.
I'll give it another shot.
Unless performance is bad...6/10 is harsh when there's a nicely rendered open world to drive around in with what looks like solid driving mechanics.
Ossu!
What a ride! The game is out now and you've decided to visit Guntama in numbers! Thank you!
For the most part you seem to be enjoying JDM without issues, however it hasn't been smooth sailing for everyone. Below you will find the first Patch Notes for the game - it's just the beginning and we promise to provide equally meaningful updates and improvements in the weeks to follow.
Patch Notes:
Force Feedback
- Fixed issues where Force Feedback would not properly initiate in the game under very specific circumstances.
- Force Feedback was lightly rebalanced, especially in low FPS situations
- Fixed a few crashes, which were directly connected to Force Feedback implementation
Game Launching and Stability
- Fixed over a dozen of rare issues influencing game stability, which caused the game to crash
- Fixed issues connected to hardware and resolution testing when launching the game for the first time, which caused the game to crash.

Gameplay and Navigation Improvements
- Significantly improved the Navigation in the Ichikara city area and in-between the events
- Optimized HUD performance and display, increasing its readability and fluency
- Improved game physics - driving should feel more stable and predictable.
Steering Wheel support
- Increased the number of presets for Steering Wheels, to make it easier for new players to properly setup their input devices.
You can switch off traffic in options.I did wind up refunding at the moment. I can't find a space that will let me learn the mechanics easily and I find the traffic too annoying in the tight corridors.
Patch 1.1.60.1
Introducing Cloud Saves.
Ossu!
Cloud saves are finally here! You should now be able to switch between different devices without the threat of starting all over. Just be sure to first launch the game from the device that you have most progress on.
If you want to make a backup of the save file, just in case(!), you can find it by following this folder path on your OS drive (make sure you have the hidden file visibility set as active in Windows): OS_Drive\\Users\\user_name\\AppData\\Local\\JDM\\Saved .
In the patch you will also find various adjustments, which should improve the game performance, fixes to cars and car parts and some other minor tweaks and bug fixes.
