Jeff Gerstmann finally explains all regarding the fall of Giantbomb

How many dedicated game sites are even successful now? IGN and Gamespot maybe because they've been around forever and IGN covers more than games? Edge/Digital Foundry for all the tech analysis?

Just watch good streamers instead of sanitized websites. Likely more informative, honest, and more fun and crude. A guy like Skillup showing a 40 min video of him picking apart a game (which proves he played it) will always be more informative than any cookie cutter game site article.

It's like sports. If you want to see the telecast, watch TV. If you want real analytical opinions on the game, the last people to listen to are the goodie too shoes commentators and intermission blowhards. All those guys do is be total homers or talk about real time betting odds. For some reason pre or post game radio shows are 10x more in depth telling the good or bad. And dedicated sports forums where everyday joes have better insights than short and shitty ESPN or TSN articles.

And dont believe any stats they even post up on TV. Out of curiosity, I'll google comparing the stats they show or say and it's sometimes even wrong. So whatever stats they spew from their sheets of paper or studio analyst feeding them stats in their earpiece arent even right all the time.

These guys are early enough millennials for me to still relate to what they are talking about. Any younger than them and I can't do it.
