Jeff Gerstmann's new project revealed (Giant Bomb)

totally not digging the white text againt the black background. one of the reasons why i never visited gamespot, quite frankly.

There has to be a better name available. Somebody at the NSA is going to get pissed every time their website turns up as a false positive.

am highly interested, hope it gets video reviews. yes im not big on reading two pages of text, id rather have a video.

Yeah, me too. I hope that video they have up now is not the last.

I think the name sucks. Any reason he went with Giant Bomb?

To, figuratively speaking, cause Gamespot to erupt in a metaphorical pillar of smoke and flame.

Either that, or he wanted to piss off the NSA.

Some people really have a problem with reading a few pages of text? Wowsers, I take it you don't read books either. Which is utterly terrifying.

A video review is all well and good to complement a written review, but I fear the growing popularity of video reviews is going to make the well-written text review extinct...which is sad.

I often sit here waiting for the day Gaming gets a reviewer along the lines of Roger Ebert, who writes insightful, funny reviews of films without merely ticking off a checklist of "good" and "bad", etc.

Good luck to Jeff & Co on Giant Bomb.

what can i say, im not that much of a reader, im more into video based stuff. sorry

Kudos to Jeff for getting right back to what he loves doing. I don't largely share the same taste in games, but I am happy to support the blog and the upcoming site, out of principle. I'll be sure to link to it on my blog tonight.

Just curious, does anyone have any idea how much money a popular blog can make from ad space? Presumably Gertsmann is popular enough to have quite a lot of traffic on the new site; I wonder how much revenue that could generate..

He's in for a rough time if the very first time his site is linked on GAF and it crashes.

Link didn't work for me on the first try; I wonder if it is due to high traffic? If so; good for him.

Site is working, just takes awhile to load.

Took a quick look around, I like what I see. I've always enjoyed these guys' genuine takes on what they're playing, and I'd love to see them post a review of Kane and Lynch as one of their first reviews... and give it the score they really wanted to without fear of reprecussion. :D

So because Gamespot is evil, that instantly makes Gerstmann into some awesome rebel? I don't get you people.

That has nothign to do with it, I've always enjoyed these guys' antics. On the Spot was a weekly appointment for me on Thursdays for quite a long period of time.

I just like Gerstmann, Navaro and Davis, that'S why I bookmarked this. I am pretty sure they will all work on this.

New update with professor layton...5 stars. I might actually pick it up today after reading the review

thinking more about his health than his appearance actually.

He was already big, now gettting bigger + a non-active job = possible health problems that some simple cardio could help counter act

Nothing that Wii Fit won't be able to fix.
