Fox has announced a director's cut of Commando which stars Arnold Schwarzenegger. The disc will be available to own from the 18th September, and should retail at around $19.98. As well as the original theatrical cut (90 minutes), the set will include an all-new seamlessly branched unrated version (95 minutes) as envisioned by director Mark L. Lester. Each version of the film will be presented in 1.85:1 anamoprhic widescreen, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround track. Extras will include an audio commentary on the theatrical cut by director Mark Lester, deleted scenes, a Pure Action featurette, a Let Off Some Steam featurette, and 4 photo galleries with over 150 images (Creating Commando, Domestic Bliss with John and Jenny, Kill Arnold, Kill!, and Trashing the Galleria).

I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS MOVIE.

Wasn't in this movie where they find a rocket launcher in a supermarket or some shit?

I can't remember where i've seen that scene.

NICE. Ever since we first saw it back in the 80s, my friends and I have joked about wanting to see a cut of the film where Arnold beats the guy with his own severed arm... please let it be true! :D

I think it was a pawn shop/gun store.

That's what I'm hoping is included in the 5 minutes extra!

I hope your excuse is that you weren't alive during the 80's, but that is still no excuse.

Heh, no, I was quite alive during the '80s, but my family didn't watch many movies and I never thought much of it.

Is this actually a decent movie, or is it just fun because it's so ridiculously over the top? I always held off on watching the first Rambo until a few months ago because I assumed it'd be incredibly stupid, but hey, that's a fairly good movie!

Ridiculously over the top, with the best and most quotable action movie one liners ever. Required viewing!

Hmm :lol :lol

It's my memory playing tricks on me. I think i remember now, the chick point the rocket backwards and shit.

I remember having a VHS with this movie, the bad guy allways reminded me of Fredy Mercury!

And wtf was up with the chain vest or wtf that was. :lol

Edit: I think i remember why i thought it was a supermarket. Don't they put the guns they found on a shopping cart?

I seriously can't understand how so many people think fondly of this movie. It's one of those movies that are so retarded it's funny (for some people). For me it's just so retarded I have to shut it off immediatly and burn the television it was on.

Let off some steam oxrock.

Man I love Commando. Aliens, Rambo, Predator and Commando made the 80's. Great stuff. Cant wait to see how the director originally intended for it to be seen.

Also whats strange is that I haven't seen this movie in probably over 15 years but alot of it is burnt into my head. Like him breaking that guys neck and jumping off the plane and him ripping out the car seats which I though was damn cool and dangling that dude over that overpass.:)
