Whaat? The ending was amazing.I didn't really like the ending of Chapter 2, but definitely in for a 3rd.

Nobody is ever going to beat Arnold, man.
Whaat? The ending was amazing.
Arnold did himself in by doing those lame expendable movies. tarnished legacy.
Winston allowing John to live kind of breaks the rules of the movie world that were established in the first movie. Perkins is immediately killed for doing exactly what John did. Narratively, I also feel that it cheapens John's decision to kill Santino. He knew exactly what the consequence would be and accepted his own death. Going back to his house to look at the burned photo of his wife and wait for his own death was a closing on his character arc. He knew what getting into the car with Charon and going to see Winston meant. It was a fake-out though and the movie broke its own rules to do it.
And I'm betting the filmmakers will know better than to do it twice, so I'm thinking there's a 90% chance that John dies in Chapter 3.
And a little more nitpicky, it kind of dampens all the work that they did to give this movie an old school Hollywood feel only to end with sequel bait.

This is one action franchise I would love to see another sequel.
It just establishes the extent of Winston's fondness for John, which doesn't break the rules cause at the end, he still orders the hit on John. Giving him a head start is hardly breaking the rules.
I was fine with 1, thought it was OK. 2 adding some world building was my favourite but it turning into a video game where pedestrians don't hear, see or care about anything was a big detraction. Also that really weird gunfight in the subway where they are quietly SHOOTING GUNS at each other while strolling was just not something I liked.
I'm looking forward to JW3: John kills the world though
the second film was stupid with his bulletproof suit. I'd like to see more but turning into a dumb superhero was a bad choice.
Saw John Wick 2 and was really surprised they managed to maintain the intensity and focus of the first film and then some. Looking forward to a sequel.
I'd love a crossover between John Wick, Christian Wolff (The Accountant), Jason Bourne, Bryan Mills (Taken), Robert McCall (The Equalizer) against Vincent (Tom Cruise in Collateral).
Hand to hand, ok. But give Wick any gun and it's pretty much over for Bourne or any of the others. His marksmanship is in a class of its own.Got my money on bourne.

Derek Kolstad has gone on to say in interviews regarding this question that he writes in more fleshed out details for the action because he knows from working with Keanu, the directors, and stunt team that they'll refine and work the material throughout the rehearsal and blocking in pre-production.I always wondered how writers go about writing set piece action fights in terms of direction for the screen and how much input they actually have
Carrie-Anne Moss too.Can we get Alex Winter in this one?
Please?
He's only been in 4 good action movies. Speed, matrix and the John wicks. Getting a little ahead of yourself.Keanu is a serious contender for greatest action star of all time. 2 felt like the same movie at times, but the action sequences are so good I don't care. As long as Keanu keeps doing shit like this they can make as many movies as they want.

chapter 2 was weird, like none of the pedestrians noticed or cared about multiple people dying and shooting at eachother?
Hopefully this one won't be shit like 2.
Pleeeease bring Carrie Anne Moss on board.
I adored both movies, but the second was noticeably more cartoonish and self-referential (showing Wick killing someone with a pencil, for instance). While that worked fine for the most part and added some fantastic visual humour, I hope they don't lean any further into it than they currently are. This sort of material can become a pastiche of itself very easily, and while the Wickiverse is definitely fertile grounds for humour, the writers have to be careful not to slip into seemingly pleased with themselves or camp. Wick 2 got the balance just about right, at times going slightly over the line, but only just. If Wick 3 can keep its head and the material fresh, it'll easily make up one of the great action movie trilogies.

The pencil represents the fact that anything is s weapon around wick. Where is the humor coming from?
I keep thinking people are missing the fact that wick 2 is him in his form as compared to him being rusty and coming out of retirement in 1.
Based off 2's ending I'm expecting him to use every piece of his arsenal so the action may very well be even more brutal.
