The bit with Suzy Q was pretty sudden in the comic, too, I guess because Araki has weird pacing (lots of timeskips) and Joseph has really strange tastes in women.
As for Lisalisa, I still think she's an example of a strong character rather than fanservice, but I can't say why yet. JoJo women do tend to be pretty comfortable with their bodies, though.

Everything curbstomps Stroheim really. Hell I'm pretty sure at this point that Araki considers having him mutilated a Battle Tendency running gag. Seriously just look at his track record.

In non-spoilery discussion, this is a thing I badly need. Right now.

Maybe it's my shitty knowledge of english but shouldn't "all but X" mean "everything minus X"? Like "the sun is all but cold"
Please enlight me

"All but ___" has left me totally confused my whole life and I'm a native speaker. but given the context people usually say it in, it should roughly be a synonym of "nearly" or "virtually".
 
apparently the phrase can have different uses, but I always use it in place of almost: "the match is all but decided" meaning the match almost or pretty much has a winner already. Context is most helpful with this stuff, though.

This has been English with Joseph. OH MY GOD!

"all" = David Production has started drawing their stills, gg-fansubs already has their heads deep in Indian dictionaries and Araki has almost spent all the money he's getting for Part 3 to buy several virgins to suck their blood for eternal youth.
