They play the second verse right after Joseph pulls out the red stone, and ends the "JOOOOOOOOOJOOOOOOOO" when Joseph's hand comes out flying out of nowhere to stab Cars' throat. I missed the op but I assume it was cut this time since the credits used Bloody Stream rather than Roundabout.

I can't form any coherent thoughts right now, but I shall make a post later about my thoughts on the finale and series as a whole.
 
Incredible finale. This was Gurren Lagann levels of escalation, and the
bait and switch
was so delicious. I'm not gonna miss the show, though, as I'm gonna go watch some Stardust Crusaders!

Very motion comic, actually. But I had already got used to this aspect of the show so it didn't take away from my enjoyment.
 
oh my god, episode 26. so fucking awesome! GOD, I loved Battle Tendency and that teaser in the end! FUCK!!! It's going to be a long wait!!!

Only thing I disliked:

CGI Cars
It looked really poor, IMO.
 
This ended up being my favorite anime in years. I had no idea what Jojo was about when it first started. The only thing I knew about it was a few "Za Warudo" clips on youtube. I can't wait for another season so I'm gonna hunt down the manga.

God damn. Show of the forever, dat teaser, dat everything. Fuck, now we have to wait months for a new season.
I knew about the part 3 teaser but still, I was so excited when I saw it.

What a ride that was.

If you haven't read the manga before, be aware they only chose some highlights to animate, but there's plenty more gold in the full part 3.
 
I think part of the reason they changed to an oil tanker is because of the explosion, and that an exploding oil tanker, ignited by the friction from all the punches would be more sensible than blow up a Road Roller.
Can Road Rollers even explode after being hit hundreds of time from the top?

In the OVA, wasn't that a disguise of sorts? Kinda odd they made Enya young and even resembling Nena (Empress Stand)

That was so good. I couldn't stop smiling the entire 26 episodes. That ending!

I want to go read everything (everything) again right now but I want to wait for the anime too. What to do what to do what to do
 
I don't know if I'll watch the OVAs before or after the next season. I know the basic outcome from the Capcom fighter but not the path up to it.

If you played the story mode in the PSX ver. then you've already experienced Part 3. Seems they managed to adapt the entire manga in the PSX ver.

When Joseph had his arm cut off I said oh shit. I felt bad at Cars at the end there; wanting to die but can't.

The
funeral
was hilarious. I always love 'shock' scenes where all the characters can't help but stare at WTF is happening. That was great. I can't wait for DTL's reaction. Will he even finish the episode? lol.

Erina, Speedwagon, Stroheim :'( Stroheim dying at Stalingard? But you're a cyborg mang. Ah well.

Old Joseph is such a racist :P Can't wait for more of his shenanigans in the next part.

Some parts were silly QTE minigames, but the overall faithfulness is incredible. Still my favorite story mode in a fighting game ever (and it's very disappointing that the HD edition for PSN and XBLA was a straight port of the DC version, without the addition of Super Story Mode).
 
Don't forget terrible VA for Dio in OVA.

I'm also hesitating about the course to take. I don't really want to watch the OVAs, but I might just read the manga.
 
I might try to get the manga for Stardust Crusaders. It seems like it's the only one that's actually reasonably easy to obtain here.
 
People dismissing the OVA's outright don't know what they're missing. For all there changes they make to the material they're still extremely entertaining and very well made. The animation in the 90's OVA's is particularly god like.

I don't think I can agree with you here. A number of the studio's that David sub-contracted to made some extremely ugly episodes, especially in the first part of the series. Hell, some of the stuff in Battle Tendency looks garbage as well. I can't overlook the poor job they did in a number of areas just because they're being faithful.
 
Stardust Crusaders has been out of print for ages, hasn't it? I remember seeing a volume or two at my library, but I don't want to start something I probably can't finish.
 
It's over... It was a really enjoyable series and I'm glad it seems that it will continue onto part 3 eventually. Final episode was good, but
defeating Cars by having him sent into space was a bit silly
.

Guess like others, either I'll either just wait for the series to continue, I'll read the manga or I'll watch the OVA.
