Man, last episode was completely and utterly insane but this somehow managed to outdo even that. Goddamn.

It actually looked like a a fairly averagely animated TV series, which is a big step up from all the stills we've had so far. There were still a number of stills and other shortcuts used to mask some of the very limited animation, but they didn't have to use such techniques nearly as often.

On reflection, I don't think this episode was nearly as good as last weeks adventure. It was highly entertaining throughout and there were numerous crazy things happening to keep you 'hooked', but as a whole wasn't particularly well constructed. Everything post-bridge felt a bit out of place and poorly edited because it didn't really feel like anything was being set up properly. Compare and contrast to last weeks episode where the whole episode built up to a hugely satisfying climax.

That was awesome. It's pretty clear they're putting much more effort into the production of Battle Tendency now, which is a good thing. It shows they recognize that the arc is a fan favorite, and it needs more attention to quality since it has never been adapted before. The Straits battle was really great. Actually animating the regeneration scene was something I wouldn't have really expected earlier in this series because of the super low budget. Great stuff.

I'd say it's more about Joseph continuing Jonathan's legacy by fighting the Pillar Men, but certainly it applies to the Zepellis too. I think you could think of it as a song for both Joseph and Caesar.

Still, I'd say the opening gets spoilery as fuck.

I was getting bored towards the end of the first arc. It turned out very bland but wow this second arc has a great start. Joseph is really bad ass. I am guessing all this hyping up to this will be worth it.
