This thread is a nice example of instant social crucifixion. No facts or anything about the incident, yet Jones is automatically the biggest piece of shit on earth.

Knee jerk reactions?

On the internet?

Naw man, don't think that's ever happened

The only good thing about this story are the Cormier .gifs.

"According to sources close to Jones, they are confident this latest situation will be resolved in short order and that it won't affect his ability to fight Daniel Cormier on April 23 in Las Vegas."

I actually needed the 2016 to not assume this was a bump, thought that dashcam story was video of the incident from last year.

Do you really blame people for instantly assuming the worst? He has gotten off with some nasty shit.

FrontRowBrian: ABQ Officer Jason Brown who pulled over Bones has past accusation of racial profiling

https://twitter.com/FrontRowBrian

A bunch of tweets down.

Or maybe the officer is an Alexander Gustafsson fan? LOL.

Jones might have walked away without a ticket in that instance had he not gotten belligerent. I watched the video when TMZ posted it and the whole thing is a shitshow. Jon Jones starts calling the cop a liar, cursing at him, and the cop makes his dislike of Jones pretty apparent as well. He went way beyond professionalism, but still, Jon you had one job- making it to the fight in three weeks without making the UFC (and all of MMA) look bad. You couldn't even do that? Then I guess you shouldn't be employed by the UFC any longer.

Jon Jones still in custody, slated for Thursday court appearance
Jones is set to appear before judge Michael Martinez at 8 a.m. MT (local time) and is likely to remain incarcerated until then unless there’s a modification of his bond, Korte said.

Jones, 28, has been held without bail at the Metropolitan Detention Center since he was taken into custody on Tuesday morning at the behest of the New Mexico Corrections Department, which oversees the 18-month supervised probation he received in a plea deal after a hit-and-run accident this past April.

Interesting to see people on this forum brush aside the actions of a cop with past accusations of racial profiling because "jon jonez is so stoopid u guyz! lol!"

At least read the story and understand the contexts before you go off.

Jon Jones is free to go home with stipulations added to his probation.

The UFC star admitted to a probation violation at his hearing in New Mexico Second Judicial District Court on Thursday and had new provisions added to his existing probation. Jones agreed to attend anger management and driver improvement courses as well as do 60 more hours of community service.

Judge Michael E. Martinez added that Jones must get approval from his probation officer every time he wants to drive. Martinez told Jones at the conclusion of the hearing that if he is back in that court before the end of his probation, "it won't go well" for him.

The Bernalillo County District Attorney's office wanted the judge to impose a nightly curfew on Jones from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m., but Martinez declined that provision. That was the only added condition of probation that Jones' team fought.
