If this doesn't manage to be released over here, it'll be relegated to that strange netherealm Last Blade 2 exists in for me; a Fighter I've heard about and want to play, but never even seen in person.

Interesting; woman, katana, burning castle. Anyone have the name?

Azumi is the latter.

And the Last Blade 2 came out here on Dreamcast...

I bought Boku no Natsuyasumi 2 almost 2 years ago, but haven't spent much time on it.

BTW, Azumi is based on the manga, not the movie.

w00t!

amir0x, it's the sequel to the Boku no Natsuyasumi games.

I'm sorry, what? Unless Boko no Natsuyasumi has a US equivalent, or was super duper hyped in Japan I've probably never heard of it.

I know the boxart isn't new, but the game is about to come out--someone should put up a pic of the tasty Meteos box.

Azumi.

why are developers mocking my desire for a really good portable shmup with half-assed remakes of space invaders and galaga? i guess nanostray should be ok. and sengoku cannon could be cool, though after ps2 choaniki it's far from a sure thing (nb: i still kinda liked ps2 choaniki). i guess psp mame is my best hope.

Fire Emblem GC looks really, really hot. It's weird -- it has the soul of a Super Famicom game, IMO. It looks like how I -thought- Nintendo games would look in ten years back during the SFC era. Back before they went all kiddy diddy on us and made the company's primary colors pink, purple and light blue. :p

I wish all of Nintendo's games did that for me these days...

Well FE will probably be the better game :P I was just talking about cover art there.

I dunno about that. Berwick does have potential since Shozo Kaga (creator of FE) is behind it... But I'm getting both games so i'll give a definitive answer when I have played them both. :)

Beh. You make me not want to support the Tearring series at all. :) One person alone does not a great game make. The older FE games were not awesome because of this one guy -- they were awesome because of the entire teams who worked on them.

What looks so bad about Space Invders DS? Looks like just an upgraded port of Space Invaders with a touchscreen interface and a 3D flying minigame.

If you compare that "one person" to a movie director or a mangaka, then yeah, it's possible for that one guy to make all the difference. :P

Most of the people who worked on the FE games have left or were part timers that have moved on, anyway. A quick look of who worked on FE5 in 1999 compared to who worked on FE8 in 2004 shows that the only remaining staff are the music composer (Who is freelance), a couple graphics artists (one whom is a director now), and the "super advisor" Kentaro Nishimura, who probably has the most weight on the series now after Toru Narihiro took reins of IS and became a producer.

At the very least, Berwick will probably emulate the "feel" of the older FE games more than Souen no Kiseki will, but Souen no Kiseki will present a more updated FE feeling, with its 3D graphics and crisp layout. I'm excited about both games, but I think I'll have different feelings over both of them.

But this is just from the perspective of a person who's played every FE game and followed the series since its early super famicom incarnations.
