Hey...the first one was decent. I stopped playing Dynasty Warriors, but this game was hilarious and fun.

Well, I never did play the English version, which I heard had some improvements, but I found the Japanese version to be a bland, boring Dynasty Warriors clone. Can't beat DW5.

I guess I shouldn't have said "Greatest Hits", I think it was called the Capcom Collection or "Kapu-Core" for short. A price-cut re-release pretty much.

I'm not a fan of the whole DW one man army like gameplay, but ultimately I'm glad Koei is getting competition from Capcom, -- Koei had a single rein on the genre far too long.

I haven't played Dyanasty Warriors since 2 because it became stale, but I enjoyed Devil Kings despite it's simplicity. It doesn't have much strategy involved, and its pretty straight-forward. The characters have flashy special attacks and weapons, and you get 5-6 different sets per character.

The game doesn't take itself too seriously, characters are based off Japanese samurai figures but they are completely fictionalized. Some are hilarious, and have that distinctive Capcom-ness to it.

It ain't a masterpiece or anything, but definitely a fun game to play casually.
