It seemed like a pretty decent sentiment considering one of the edler scrolls game was literally called Oblivion. By definition the word isn't all that bad. Maybe chill out.
It wasn't just flying too close to the sun. He was being straight out selfish, making it all about him. It was pretty clear after the "Does Emulation = Piracy?" thread that it was a matter of when, not if, he would crash out. I just didn't expect a tragedy to be the facilitating factor.

Have you played the games? Oblivion is a Daedric hellscape. It's a very bad place. Not the nicest place to send someone off to. Literal parallels to traditional concepts of hell.

Was a big JRPG player before Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind which was my first WRPG and it took a bit to get used to it but once I did, I love it more than any JRPG and was easily one of my favorite games of all times along with the other Elder Scrolls and Fallout games.
I can only advise everyone to get Daggerfall on Steam (it's free). And then download Daggerfall Unity (you need the original game) and play it like this. Daggerfall is actually pretty good.
Gave it a go a few years ago when Unity was new but never went far into it. But love that old school classic sword and sorcerer vibe. Plan to give it another go which should be better now with more mods.
Same, if the company was smart, they would never waste time with Shitfield and just focus on Elder Scrolls VI a lot earlier so it could have been out by 2021 to 2024 with Fallout 5 being halfway done already.
Well.. how old are you ? Because in my case, it explains a lot .... things and people I grew up admiring are dying all around me, its part of life unfortunately. I reckon in about 10 to 15 years I'll not be that OLD but pretty much everything I grew up with will be gone in one way or another.
Its like shawshank redemption, you go away for 40/50 years and then come out into a world you simply dont recognize... the difference here is we experience this little by little.
