AJ was better with character work than in-ring talent but was still pretty good. Would have been neat to see her face off against Sasha, Charlotte or Becky.

Maybe, although she already had a match with Bayley (really early in Bayley's career back during when she was like a WWE fangirl as her gimmick) already. AJ did benefit from being the top woman during the time where there wasn't much going in the division.
Which is a shame when she had the interesting enough Paige feud she started to grow more and more lackluster which led to her retirement.
