Generally because "I don't like this spot" is expressed along the lines of "this is killing wrestling" or "this isn't wrestling" or "back in my day" which is a pretty combative way of presenting your opinion and will encourage similar responses.

Finally utilizing the ignore list was the best thing I ever did on GAF
Which is met with an always disingenuous 'you're old' 'wrestling's evolving' 'lol who cares what you think' 'lol you are so mad' which is a real deflective way to rebuttal someones opinion.

I was completely against the list at first until this and Bernie threads. Some people are so against ever even listening to the thought that they might be wrong that there's no semblance of a debate that's realistically possible. Like a toxic relationship, at that point there's only one option that will lead to any kind of progress or relief, and whether someone thinks it's mature or not is irrelevant to its effectiveness.

That's pretty good considering what they were up against.

Yeah I'm p guilty of that reaction myself. Flippy do shit is one element of wrestling that I happen to like a lot and I dunno, it just seems predictable when the latest, hottest gif does the rounds and the old arguments are dredged up again.

I used to be against a list too, but it enhances my experience so much. Maybe I miss 20% of posts, but it isn't good reading for me. Plus, I can always click "View Post" if I'm not using Super Ignore, in case I am curious.
