July Wrasslin' |OT| ALT+CTRL DELETE DELETE DELETE NERO, IT'S OVAH!

I mean it's pretty clear they've been in a holding pattern for SD until the draft, and once the brands and rosters are set we'll get a clearer indication of quality, so I don't think how it is this week is any future indicator.

We went through this the last Every Brand Split. Live or not, it's getting shit finishes, dumb storylines, and 50-50 booking. Only difference is either you're waiting an extra day or two for it, or you're waiting a week for it.

The only things that ever changed in the brand split was one time Cena went to Raw, one time HHH and JR went to SD. This time Cena will go to SD and Bryan will GM. No fundamental change or "talented" roster will fix it because no one or two or three things can possibly fix problems that have been there from the start.

Another problem is another set of spoilers said once match didn't happen and says a different winner of one match.

Confusing.

Even those spoilers sound no better or worse than an average episode of Raw right now, so at the very least it's a 2 hour Raw.

You poor marks thinking that at Battlegrounds it will be
Bayley.
Get ready for a returning
Nikki Bella, fools!

I'd be fine with that. She's good.

I was not expecting to enjoy impact this much.

I've been watching you, Fox318. I know you've dipped your toe into MMA-GAF, and I know you watched Ultimate 200. With your newfound appreciation of Impact Wrestling, I am proud to finally call you friend, and I welcome you to the side of the responsible wrestling fans.

About the Battleground match

The clearly very ready for primetime Nia Jax without the monster heel gimmick.

I understand that Moose is the hottest free agent in wrestling, but what is with the stupid name?

edit: omg his body is awful

edit2: THOSE SHOES

Whike they should
bring Bayley up
I doubt they would in a tag match
If it happened, it would likely be a
one-off appearance. Just helping Sasha out for a night. She did tag with Sasha at a house show not long ago.

I personally think it will be
Nikki. Makes sense what with her return supposedly being any week now since I believe she was hoping to get cleared in July. Maybe it sets up a triple-threat or something for Summerslam.

Is there anyone in wrestlinggaf who doesn't highlight Smackdown spoilers so that they can watch the broadcast with virgin eyes?

Dream, Moose just looks like another ROH produced flop like Mike Bennett. Especially when standing next to a Greek God like "The Destroyer" Bobby Lashley.

I'm just not buying it.

With you on this one. I've only read about him from the Observer, and his appearance was shocking.

Why flex when you have no definition, thus drawing attention to your lack of definition? Dude looks like a black Gillberg gimmick.

I'm not joking when I day Impact may have the best pure wrestling crowd out there right now.

No Botchamania chants
no you fucked up chants
no this is awesome chants
no what chants
booing heels
cheering faces
no trying to get a chant or song over

Sure they may not react to everything around the ring but they didn't detract from the event

I can assure you they used to have all these things when they used to pull a somewhat decent crowd.

Heel, if you're out there, what can you tell me about Bobby Lashley's MMA career?

I got curious, so I looked it up. Apparently he's got a 14-2 record across at least like half a dozen promotions (Strikeforce, Shark Fights, Super Fight League, Bellator, etc.).

Upon closer inspection...a good number of fights had his opponents dropping out for various reasons or just having scrapped matches.

Yeah, somewhere along the way when it became clear TNA gave up, the fans that put themselves over gave up too and either quieted down to reflect the disappointment or bolted outright

For the best. This new already-defeated hopeless crowd is better.

Not even close. Meltzer complains about them and Brian Mann and Nate wants them to leave the impact zone to make the show better.

Agreed that this "band-on-the-titantic" Impact crowd is better than Full Sail.

If Impact keeps up this level of quality, Lucha UNderground might drop out of my top FIVE Wrestling Promotions this year. What a descent.

If it was going to be anything other than just
Sasha vs. Charlotte one on one
at Summerslam, then they wouldn't be doing a tag match here.

Data West, after Destination X, they taped an EC3/Eli Drake match for the BFG series that is supposed to be *****.

During the match, Edwards dived to the outside and Lashley easily caught him with basically one hand.

After the match, Edwards dived to the outside with a hurricanrana spot and held onto the ropes to make sure Moose didn't drop him. So not only does he not 'look strong', but he is likely not very strong.

My expert analysis is this; Wrestling fans just want an excuse to chant something and Moose is easy to chant

Wasn't he also the tallest ROH wrestler by a good margin?

Fair point. I'm just going off
the thought that I doubt a returning Nikki Bella wouldn't immediately be tossed into the title scene if she does make her return from injury at Battleground. At the very least she's probably the guaranteed post-Summerslam first feud Sasha has as champion unless Charlotte gets a rematch.

I buy a post-SS feud if that's who comes back, but I think the SS match is pretty clear.
