Not the way Ricardo made it to be but then again that's his opinion. I can't really remember what any of the three were doing around the time the Shield came in. I'd agree probably Barrett because he's had failed push since the minute the Nexus lost at Summerslam.

For reference, The Shield came in Survivor Series 2012.

TLC 2012, the very next month:

Big Show successfully defended the world heavyweight title against Sheamus
Kofi Kingston successfully defended the IC title against Wade Barrett
Del Rio was in a 6-man tag match with Miz and the Brooklyn Brawler against...3MB

Yeah, the Shield were totally responsible for those failed pushes.

I wish Barrett had gotten as much chances to fail as the Wyatts have

And you know HHH will keep giving them chances to fail

And you know people here will keep saying he deserves to have more opportunities at making new Wyatts. Give him the book, company, keys, and presidency, they'll chant
It's funny because most people say Barrett had a lot of chances that got ruined because he got himself injured.

I remember when it was teased he might fight Undertaker at Wrestlemania (doubt he would have won). That could have been fun.

He didn't say the Shield were responsible. He said HHH was and his view on the more younger and fresher talent.

I'm not stating it as concrete proof, just what Ricardo (who would have a probable bias of his own words) has said was the case. It might be pure bullshit.

The point is, they were already on a downhill trajectory.

Before the Shield even came in, if you weren't Cena/Orton/Undertaker/Lesnar and to a lesser extent Punk, you were always seen expendable.

HHH was at least right in that they needed fresh faces who haven't been ruined in the eyes of the audience, which is what the Shield was.

Darren Young's
theme sucks.

I agree, just stating what was said. I likely overestimated what those guys were doing in late 2012 so I'm sorry for messing that up.

That is blurry.

Also Lillian has some of the absolute worst fashion in the fed IMO. And that's impressive considering her competition.
A much more full crowd at the CWC tonight than at the last taping. Place looks sold out.
EDIT: I'm bad at reading.

Not surprising, since this is after the first episode has aired and we're getting better matchups now.

Man, I think the cultural gap on GAF is too much for me sometimes. Tons of people saying we need to see videos of dead bodies after that terrible Nice attack while my French Twitter feed is full of "Please do not share images of the victims".

Cause he is from the China market and the founder of the first wrestling promotion in Hong Kong.

China is in its first steps of wrestling so he is one of its best right now.

Really, really awesome moment happened after the match.
Everyone was chanting "Thank You Cedric" and he came back out and got a standing ovation. Was in tears. Then people chanted "Please sign Cedric" and Triple H came out and raised his hand. Crowd was going nuts.

Sounds like a star getting made.

I almost cried, I loved him last night(my favourite). He definitely has a great future ahead of him.

Angry Grimace

Two cannibals are eating a clown. One turns to the other and says "does something taste funny to you?"
Sounds like a star getting made.

I mean, he's barely even a cruiserweight to begin with, they had to tell him to cut 20 pounds to even make the cut for the tournament. I would be surprised if he wasn't a signee. Meltzer says almost all the signees have been told to keep it secret to that there's more surprises when they debut in the Fall.

Third match:
Akira Tozawa b. Jack Gallagher

That match was good because it was hilarious and technical.
Gallagher
is definitely one to keep an eye on.

Sounds like a star getting made.

It certainly felt like it. They filmed it too, so it will probably air either on the show or in a documentary.

I can't fucking wait until this airs.

It will be worth the wait I assure you.

Jack Gallagher is interesting because he got coverage about himself in Espn UK and the mirror.

The only problem I see is his future is he got to change his look because some might just see him as the third Vaudevillian.

Cedric vs. Ibushi happening now.

Goddamn that match was awesome. Best match of the tournament by a mile so far.
Ibushi won.

It's been about an hour and I haven't been able to enjoy the rest of the show since that. It was too damn good and has made the r at of these matches feel mediocre by comparison.

Sasha and Dana are getting better at working with each other. Dana definitely felt more on point with the speed there.

Good match.
