Wow, finally some new backgrounds. I must say I was getting really sick of seeing the One Piece background on every single screenshot. Good to see the new ones are more colorful and have their own unique platforms and stuff. They need to release a better trailer, I wanna see how good the actual animation in the game is. The DS is capable of MUCH MORE than the GBA so I hate to see developers being lazy ass about it.

Nintendo has to market the shit out of this, heck, go as far as making a demo of it and give it for free in the shonen jump mag, any fan of naruto, one piece, DBZ, and the other animes (bobobo, etc) will be interested in this. Distribute the demo wirelessly from gaming stores, put gigantic ads in the train stations, push the game in the actual animes and manga, thats free and good advertisement.

The key quote is "SMB gameplay". There is a chance that it will be some new fighting model that isn't that special. If this really is Smash Bros quality gameplay, then yeah this really could hit the stratosphere and smash the million mark and send the DS sales soaring. If it isn't, this could end up as your typical anime game, but with the hype and license sell around 300-400K. Oh, and btw, NCL should hire you as an advertising exec just for this game. I'm being serious. Really, I am.

And honestly this game isn't going to sell DS's like you think it would. The Naruto and One Piece games, along with other games based on hit shounen action manga, didn't sell the Gamecube, so there's no reason to believe millions of little boys will beg their moms to buy a DS for this game.

However it should prove quite popular among existing DS owners.

This game has real potential. Im quite interested in the way the touch screen is being used for card selection. Im hoping it brings in some new gameplay strategy not found in SSB.
