Jumping in the water from up high not always a good idea

WOW.

My jaw dropped open when it cut to the scene with the doctors all around him. I don't feel sorry for the kid at all, but wow. What a sight.

He obviously hit the concrete. Water does not do that.

Yeah, definetely. But how did he survive is beyond me. Or, then again, maybe he didn't.

If they did stitch his face back up together, I'd love to see some before and after -shots.

My jaw didn't drop open but my browser closed..

There's a quarry up near me that hit a underground spring and filled up. So quickly they had to leave equipment at the bottom. Apparently there are all kinds of cool stuff way down there.

Anyways, there are cliffs all around it that people jump off from and one in particular is quite dangerous. It has a ring of rocks that you have to aim for the middle of. Once in a while some kid is too high or drunk and dives 8 stories straight onto the rocks.
On a less morbid note, alot of kids end up hitting the water ass first and ripping themselves up pretty bad. You can always tell who screwed up the landings from the torn bathing suits, parts of which are still lodged in the guys ass.

I hate LiveLeak, I really fucking hate LiveLeak. Someone go make a thread on why LiveLeak contributes to making our lives in this shitty world, even more shitty. I watched the video. You shouldn't watch the video.

You don't feel sorry for him? What are you a sociopath?

Unrelated: What kind of wounds does water cause and from what height?

I'm not sure what external wounds it can cause, but impacting water can cause massive internal trauma and death pretty much instantly. (I don't know what speed that is, but it's a good deal less than a human's terminal velocity)

I was more horrified by the sounds, to be honest. The reactions from the crowd were quite something to hear. The latter part of the video, with the crotesque close-up of the split face, is blurry enough to not warrant a vomit-reaction.
