Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner.

Oh, and btw, that's Sonjay Dutt, Jay Lethal, and Shawn Davari in case y'all are wondering.

Shit looks ridiculous. *face palm*

Racing bores me. I can only move my head around in exaggerated circles so many times before I start looking elsewhere.

However....

...in the incredibly vague wikipedia entry, I do see some things that I like and that could be aped better in the more typical, mainstreamish wrestling organizations. The whole thing is team-oriented, so it's basically a bunch of stables battling it out. While, stable wars (like the NWO split-up teams a decade and change ago) can end us with some pretty terrible storylines, it would really, really be a stark contrast from the current times, where we either see (A) nobody teaming up in any cohesive, long-term fashion, ever -- like in WWE -- or (B) Team Old vs Team New -- like in NWA TNA Impact Wrestling, both on infinite repeat.

Additionally, the character archetypes listed here seem somehow fresher. They're incredibly generic descriptions, so I probably enjoy it because of what's not included. There's no "this dude is wealthy/foreign/girly, so you should hate him". The attributes listed are positive or negative depending on the reader. It feels like they're veering away from the face vs heel paradigm and instead allowing people to decide which guys they want to root for. This is something that you often see crowds wanting to do in pro wrestling matches (whenever you hear, for instance, dueling chants), but it's something that bigger pro wrestling organization try to steer the audience away from (by making the "bad guys" comically unlikable and the "good guys" universally positive in their character traits).

I made a somewhat cogent argument out of a bunch of shitty looking pictures; now, isn't that better than complaining about how we know that Bischoff will ruin it?

[Edit: Also, they need to license Captain Falcon from Nintendo]

From lordsofpain.net with original source of wrestling observer. Not sure if this is a rumor but certainly not looking good for the rookie. Harsh or justified?

After the Tough Enough finale part of RAW a few weeks back, WWE's John Laurinaitis ripped into Andy Leavine for about five minutes about how Leavine shit on everything Vince McMahon and Steve Austin have done for the business, and about how he was a piece of crap who will never amount to anything in the business. Laurinaitis was mad because they felt Andy should have stayed down longer after the slap from Vince and the Stunner from Austin.

I completely agree that he didn't sell the Stunner long enough. He was standing up like 10 seconds after it happened.

But the rest of that? :lol

So how long have the Usos been doing that crazy Samoan (I assume) dance/chant before their matches? it's pretty jarring when their polar opposite entrance theme kicks in afterwards.

Why do they all look like they should be in that Speed Racer film?

Michelle from Tough Enough said during an audio interview with ProWrestling.net that she saw it happen. Also said Andy looked like he wanted to cry when it was going on and that handlers for the TE contestants took them out of the area before it was over so they didn't see any more.

Later that night, everyone was hanging around the bar and Michelle said Andy came down, had one glass of water, sat by himself, and then went back to his hotel room. Couldn't even enjoy his win. Should've been one of the best days in his life but within minutes they took that away from him (even though I agree he popped back up way too quickly from the stunner).

Poor guy.

He was in a tough spot because he was obviously supposed to sell the effects of the Stunner, but at the same time, he needed to get out of the ring quickly because they immediately transitioned into the next segment involving Vince, SCSA, Miz, Riley, etc. without a commercial break.

That's exactly what i thought.
Shit, I would argue that Austin and the rest of the TE trainers kept telling him to be that tough big guy and he was showing that no bitch slap and stunner is enough to keep him down! Booya!

Vintage Cole?
Vintage Cole from five years ago was light years better than 2011 Cole.
It also saddens me that Josh's mic time is getting reduced.

Not quite, it was a lot worse when they were calling Sin Cara vs DiBiase.
Hey Daniel Bryan actually got to cut a promo!
I'm shocked too. First non-diva focused promo since the whole Bellas nonsense started months ago.

I actually miss the "NO! NOT THIS WAY!" Cole, I never would have expected that back in those days.

It's like Smackdown is where the characters actually develop and Raw is where they stagnate for the most part.

that was the original plan for the brand split.

Raw-Show with stars and celebrities.

Smackdown- Show with young talent and where people developed

I don't understand this either. He's the best play-by-play guy in the company short of JR. Who's actually play-by-play on Raw now? You have Booker and King who are both color and then annoying Cole who goes from happy "vintage" Cole to angry heel spiteful Cole over the course of a match without actually calling anything.

Four years ago today. Damn. Hard to believe it's been that long since I heard the news about Benoit. :(
Such a sad state of affairs, Benoit was one of my favourite wrestlers, fortunately I'm still able to watch his matches without any trouble.

If he's leaving (which sadly I don't doubt), people are speculating it's because he feels he's been mishandled by WWE and that he may just need a break. It also doesn't help that Vince wants to trademark the name "CM Punk" which Punk has no intentions of letting that happen.
