Boston.com said:
A verdict is in for the federal trial of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who faces 30 charges, 17 of which have the possibility of the death penalty, for his role in the Boston Marathon bombing almost two years ago. The jury began deliberation Monday morning.

If he is found guilty of a death penalty charge, the same jury, composed of seven women and five men, will decide if he should be put to death during the sentencing phase.

Tsarnaev was accused of planning and perpetrating the bombing of the Boston Marathon with his older brother Tamerlan on April 15, 2013, which killed three people and maimed and injured over 260 more. Tsarnaev was also accused of the killing of MIT police officer Sean Collier three days later, carjacking the driver of a Mercedes SUV at gunpoint, and shooting and throwing bombs at police in a shootout in Watertown.

Tamerlan Tsarnaev was killed during that shootout when he was run over by his younger brother.

The sentencing phase will be a lot more interesting than the verdict. He's 100% guilty, just not 100% death penalty guilty in Massachusetts

Don't kill him, let him rot in jail. let him see just how much he didn't change anything for the rest of his life.

Yes, just put him in general population in a Massachusetts prison. Feed his ass to the wolves. Hopefully he lives to be 100 and hates everyday day he's alive.

Yeah, but they've been trying to argue that he was just a poor brainwashed kid being used by The Human Speedbump, right?

Where do they get slimeballs to defend creeps like this?

How is she a slimeball? All she has done is try and spare his life.

So it's basically torture in federal prison for life or quick death. I don't know if I support execution but dang he ruined a lot of people's lives.

Can't wait to see him get put behind bars for the rest of his life. But as heinous as his crimes are I'm still a staunch opponent of the death penalty.

Everyone has a right to a legal defense. Dzhokhar is represented by professional defense attorney Judy Clarke, who has been able to, in the past, spare the clients the death penalty.

1:45 eastern... so, right now? I need my news feed.

Screw 'what he wants' People shouldn't pay to have him live horribly for life in prison. Just be rid of him and move on.

From Breaking News:

Jurors in the Boston Marathon bombing trial were asked to decide 30 charges against Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 17 of which carry a potential death sentence. As reporter @dhausleon7 notes, reading out the nearly 100 jury decisions could take 30 minutes or more.

Should be life in prison. Death is the easy way out for this guy. Dude should rot.

They will probably give him death though.

I really dislike this sentiment. Shows a complete lack of understanding of how a fair and just judicial system operates. It keeps popping up too.

Death Penalty will be the penalty. People won't accept any other verdict

It's one of those things. I oppose the death penalty because of its use to coax innocents into confessing to crimes. (it happens a lot more than you think, believe it or not)

But, this is an enemy combatant, really. There can be no sympathy for these kinds of acts. I just never will understand why he did it.

I don't mean to alarm you but you have dogs on your face
There's definitely a part of me that feels this person doesn't deserve to exist anymore and should just be put to death. But I have a lot of reasons for not supporting the death penalty, and really, he'll die some day anyway, why not after decades of mentally rotting in a prison cell?

Man, it's cases like these where the death penalty seems like it would be the most "okay", but I just still can't support the idea. I feel wrong hoping he doesn't get the death penalty, but...i do hoe he doesn't get the death penalty.
