That's the way HDD manufacturers label them (20GB) and how it looks to Windows when it is formatted. HDD makers say 1GB = 1,000MB, Windows says 1GB = 1,024MB.

I posted my referral link at my website and got 70 or so people to sign up under me in a week or so. It took about 3 weeks for them to get my info tallied and off to the vendor, another 3 weeks for the vendor to ship and 1 day for it to get to my house.

For new iPod users, I'd get some sort of protective case immediately. As many iPod users can attest to, your iPod will look like it's been molested by squirrels after only a few days use.

The reason why its showing up as 18.5gb is because 20gigabytes(1,000,000,000) is equal to 18.5gibibytes(2^30, what windows calls gb but should be noted as GiB).

I got 2 of these things from the free Ipod site... and I also got 2 tvs fromt eh free tv site... if I had a camera I would take pics... I havent opened the second one, i will be taking that one back to probably get the ipod photo.....

anyway.. tomorrow im gonna go get a protective case .. im already seeing small chicken scratches on the metal part. and i take GOOD care of my things.
