Just played through Quantum Break

What a great game.

Missed out on it first time round. Picked it up on Steam Deck (plays very nicely) and had a hoot.

Remedy are a special studio and produce interesting games. They have a singular vision; you can see how they are essentially perfecting the same game.

Control feels like a continuation of QB. Even the set pieces - the dockyard in QB is evolved even further to become *that* amazing level in Control.

Good game. Good studio.

Did you watch the interspersed live action show? I know that was the way the experience was presented on launch…

How is it better than Control? Genuinely curious as I've yet to play QB but loved Control. 100%ed that game.
I liked Control for the first 1/3rd, but it got very samey and started to really drag for me. Had to force myself to finish it. I think towards the end I even turned on the modifier that killed enemies in one hit.

Quantum Break I just loved - the story (I'm a sucker for time related nonsense), the graphics and effects for the time. I even semi-enjoyed the TV portion (although it was mainly due to me being surprised that it wasn't completely Z tier).

Unfortunately, QB never got an upgrade so it's stuck in the land of lowish resolution and 30fps (on console anyway).

I also played QB on Steam Deck last year and was having some issues with playing live-action parts as they didn't worked correctly so I just completed the game on my PC and they worked fine there. I heard that this issue was recently fixed on one of most recent Proton updates and these live-action segments are watchable if you're playing the game on Steam Deck

knew nothing about the pedigree of these games. I played Control and was blown away, I never played this kind of game setting before. Not sure what you call it with the supernatural science stuff. But it was a neat ride.

Played it through again recently, felt this was a bit hard done by when it launched. My main gripe with it now is the live action episodes it was entirely built around you cant even view anymore as part of the game.
