ZeniMax Media is the parent company of Bethesda Softworks. Though to be honest there's not much more to ZeniMax Media besides Bethesda Softworks.

Back in the olden days, around 1986 or so, Bethesda Softworks was founded and had offices in Bethesda, Maryland. But our offices are now up the road in Rockville, now.

Don't know if you can answer this follow-up question. If Bethesda Softworks makes up most of ZeniMax Media, why keep the entities separate, why not just name to whole she-bang Bethesda Softworks? I mean the logos are practically the same already.

Well, April 1 is the start of some companies' fiscal year, so it's not uncommon for legitimate announcements to be made. Someone mentioned Apple; their fiscal year starts on April 1, and they're supposed to announce the release date on Tiger Really Soon Now.

Plus, there was the last GIA April 1st.
