Thanks to GAF, 'Liar Liar' is stuck in my head. Its a catchy tune. Best parts are the beginning with the horns, and the rap part. This group has strong visuals too.
I saw that and just ignored the "MV teaser" thing as I don't think it's meant to be anything but a little fan service. The girls were wearing the same clothes as in the V App they did the other day, and Yoojung's not even there for most of it (guessing she was feeling sick based upon her (lack of) dancing early in the clip). They'll probably do one of those "filming the recording" MVs for this song, which is where some of those better shots come from, in order to keep fans engaged and get around to focusing on the May proper debut with new song.
Oh... Did they not think the show would end up being this successful? At least that's the impression I get, or they would've covered their bases better to actually keep the girls for the full 10 months. One month of promo and then whoever wants to leave (read: whichever company wants their trainees back) just gets to leave the group... lol. This is a mess... But if it's true it will be entertaining to follow. I'm curious which companies will take the selfish route to debut 'their' trainees themselves as quickly as possible (my vote is on Jellyfish).
Furthermore I'm considering making a list (not really) of male flop nugus/trainees that caught my attention in the past to see which ones pop up in that (rumoured or confirmed, idk) male p101.
With how quickly the media exposed and slut-shamed G.Na during that tenpro-idol scandal I'm surprise I haven't heard more about the other "two popular girl idols dating one another" rumor...
In other news.. The Ark's Hala was cool, but if Minju isn't one of the members of that upcoming girl group (or slated for some future project) I'll lose faith in their entertainment company.
Was looking forward to SM's 2014/2015 boy rookies eventually debuting until they announced it was going to be some global group nonsense, with members in constant flux. I'm fine with graduation systems, but IIRC this is even less static.
Momo is great. Like singing there are myriad things that can qualify someone as good. Whether they're a dance machine like Hyosung or Dahye, have movements that "pop" like OMG YooA, or display a range of abilities like Momo.
Have April released a good song? In recent years, DSP seem to have gotten into the habit of having good production values as far as wardrobe/styling and MV visuals, while forgetting to invest in semi-consistent, quality music. Rainbow included.
Fully expect Lovelyz' "mature concept" to translate into slightly less innocent school girls, of slightly below [perceived] uni age.
+ Sujeong + Jin. Despite being overrated, Kei is actually very talented as well although she's frightening.
Lovelyz are doing fine, though. There are varying factors contributing to the greater popularity Twice and Gfriend enjoy, some of which are chance or other things Lovelyz can't replicate.

Super rookies Oh My Girl are top tier nugus so it's only natural. Shame they sell so poorly and have little visibility compared to their peers. Then again, Mamamoo and EXID 2.0/3.0 were at it for sometime before they finally achieved their current success.
Fresh reports/rumors about Minzy leaving YG and/or 2NE1 disbanding soon.
Translation of TV Daily article said:
"2NE1's contract with YG is soon about to end, and it's highly possible that they are going to be disbanding. In fact, Minzy was about to sign with a new label already, but it did not happen due to disagreement in financial settlements."
An announcement to make an announcement. That usually doesn't happen when you deny something, I thought. Announcement is at 5pm KST today (in 5 hours).
Edit: Soompi translated it as a press conference, rather than an official announcement, which is does imply something is up.
I.O.I's pre-debut song "Crush" has been released on the music portals - here it is on Soundcloud. No MV yet, even though the teaser said it should have been out at 12pmKST. This management.
Edit: I notice that the CJ E&M upload of the teaser doesn't mention "MV". So this may very well be a digital release only and Mnet screwed up putting "MV" in their title unless it's being held back "Mr Mr" style.

Even with long breaks inbetween they've been huuuuge digitally for each release. Both they and YG as a whole could've got much more out of this career if YG were capable of managing two artists at a time.

Minzy won't change her mind. She has posted a lot of things that express frustration, disappointment, depression, betrayal, disagreement, and religious convictions/higher purpose for a long time now. Don't know all of what she has been dealing with, but she clearly hasn't been enjoying idol life as of late.
Moonbyul's verse and Hwasa's breakdown are some of the best music Mamamoo have put out. Funny that it comes in what's essentially a musical advert.
Not sure if they would regularly perform this as part of their group sets, outside of any LG specials, but fangirls and fanboys would lose their minds during Moon's part.
*insert comment about Ye no longer producing the type of head nod music the gif is from*
To be fair he linked to Dancing Queen and mentioned Gee, both from 2008/2009 and solidly in the old Seobot era.
Look for some live performances from the last few years Kirby, she's improved on that front. This was my personal turning point that turned me into the Seohyun fan. https://vimeo.com/34078819
Do people in korea actually know what Red Velvet is? If new groups can enter into the mix of "nation's 2nd girl group", I would go with Gfriend instead of Red Velvet.
Bloody hell YMC/Mnet. Even if it's last minute fan service, this is novice stuff (and it shouldn't be last minute stuff). You could have doubled up on the BTS footage (since you aren't making 4 more Produce 101 episodes feauturing BTS stuff anymore) and removed the awkward shots when the girls were put into a room and told to "dance! have fun! doooo somethiiiing!". I know they had to go with an agency that didn't send trainees to Produce 101, but YMC seems like such a cheap, unsupportive agency. Social media hasn't been touched in a month (even with this pre-debut stuff AND a release from one of their artists, Jessi, occurring during that time) and their website isn't even online at the moment.
(Watching that "MV", still not a fan of Yeunjung)

2NE1 as 3. I still don't know how they can afford CL after that amazing US debut though.
This is a bit Gfriend lite, but still good. I'm assuming the credits at the end are from crowdfunding? Keep em coming if it's going to push the groups to release good material.
