It will because the game is a launch title. I don't know how well Kameo will do at $49.99, but I bet the game lights up the charts when it drops to $19.99 and the 360 userbase grows.

Most demos can give you a pretty damn good idea how a game plays. This one plays like ass. I hate the controls and it's just stupid. Elf girl turning into stupid...kaola thing with spikes on his back. Ugh. I almost threw up when I saw her do that at the beginning.

Yes, because it's aggregated reviews. To me it matters at least. EB charts don't mean diddly to me.

So what if a game is selling well - it doesn't necessarily mean it's good - and no one even knows if its good because 99.99% of them haven't even played it yet.

Yeah, but you don't know if you like it or not until you actually play it. So you either have to just buy it and hope for the best, play it at a buddies house, or rent it.

My time & money is valuable, so I like to read the aggregated review score on Gamerankings before I decide whether or not to purchase it.

It's about the only launch title that's 50 bucks isnt it? All launch titles sell well basically.. look at anything first party from the Xbox launch and you'll see absolute clunkers that moved 400-500k units (not that I'm saying Kameo is necessarily bad, just that launch games get big sales boosts regardless of title).

I think we're going through some slight miscommunication though, I took it as you were saying how high up something is on gamerankings = a good game; so I said if I like it in response to that.

Usually going by early games I go with it that way; a new game it's usually word-of-mouth/fingers, or standard info. Get burned sometimes, sometimes don't.

A demo might not 100% reflect on a given finished product, but I think it's enough to get a general idea.

i remember when i played the MGS2 demo and thought it was amazing .....but then when i played the final game and realized it was utter shit. (and not only cause of raiden)

It's normal; same thing happened with the XBox, PS2 and DC launch (not sure about GC, but probably).

MS put out a press release yesterday announcing that some games perhipherals are already on sale.
