Kanye West reportedly lost his cool at LAX Thursday morning and attacked a photographer.

LOS ANGELES - Kanye West was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport on Thursday police have confirmed to Access Hollywood.

West was arrested at 7:51 a.m. PST on charges of battery and vandalism. He is still in custody at the airport.

The celebrity Web site TMZ.com is reporting that West smashed the camera of a photographer in the American Airlines terminal at LAX. TMZ says one of its photographers began videotaping the scene and an assistant of the rapper grabbed the camera and threw it to the ground.


TMZ says West rushed the TMZ photographer and demanded the videotape after he realized the incident had been recorded.

Isn't there some sort of violation of privacy or some type of right here? I mean, who authorized him to take Kanye's picture?

Kanye has never presented himself as a "bad ass" or a "gangsta"... hell, he called himself the "Louiv Vuitton Don". He's preppy as can be. :lol

Just a case of paps getting in his face. I don't blame him, some of those guys cross the line...
 
I usually don't agree with Kanye when it comes to anything, but I think we share the same feeling when it comes to the paparazzi and TMZ.
 
Eh, Kanye's a pretty cool guy, came by work one time and was all soft-spoken. Celebrity makes people do funny things sometimes, this much is so.
 
Kanye couldn't be a bigger douchebag. He whines and cries publicly whenever he doesn't get his way. I can't say I'm surprised he had another temper tantrum.

I don't have any real respect for some of these photogs, but the article doesn't indicate that he was doing anything more than simply taking pictures. As a celebrity, you have to deal with it. Period.

Kanye probably had some sand stuck in an uncomfortable place and took it out on this poor schmuck.

Oh yeah. Fuck Kanye.

I'd be pretty pissed off if I went down the street to buy some bread and some idiot was following me around with a camera. I'd probably break a lot more than his camera.

Why isn't there a more sinister version of Punk'd targeting paparazzi specifically?

I remember watching a documentary about paparazzi were they censored their names, hysterically hypocritical. gotta love it.

Do you know anything about police? They have absolutely no obligation to do anything and for the most part do not in crime prevention. They are there to simply arrest people after the crime has been committed.

Did you watch the video? A crime was being committed. The poster wasn't saying ANYTHING about crime prevention, I don't know how you got that idea.
 
:lol awesome. sometimes people get annoyed and cameras get broken. all in a days work i suppose. his new album drops Dec 16th, or rumor has it.
