Dude he started the whole thing off by admitting that the Grammys are a joke. For something that is a party for "rich musicians" he seems mad salty about some awfully silly shit. The fact that he's talking about artistry and then continues to bring up popularity further reinforces the fact that he is really confused with art. There's always going to be some point where art and money collide but there's a big difference between the curve of Beck vs. an artist like Beyonce.

Who's "artistry" is going to shine in this collab? Is Kanye going to go 808s on a Taylor Swift pop-country beat, or is she going to sing a hook on his stripped down productions? I can't imagine how this would work.

Rushing the stage and actually having some sort of argument about music videos when it's essentially a you tube/facebook wall award when it's not even your own video seems like he cares way too much. I think it's pretty obvious the thing at the Grammys was a joke.

It's okay, folks! He's a very successful musician and a savvy businessman. He is allowed to act like an asshole and sound off like he's full of himself. He even says the Grammys are a joke, and still he shows up for it. Class act, through and through

The best part of all of this is that Beck actually invited him to stay on stage and do his crazy rant. He didn't really have much to say and seemed to enjoy the stage crashing. So I don't buy Kanye's explanation that he thought better about it because there's only so much time for the winner to speak. He's a very talented, but highly deluded narcissist who clearly has a different world going on in his head than the actual world around him. What an ass clown.

Why do people hold the Grammies in such high esteem that evidently absolutely no horseplay is allowed because it is so very serious and respect is a huge part of Grammy culture
