Hot chicken or Nashville hot chicken is a spicy fried chicken made with cayenne pepper and usually served on top of white bread with pickle chips. Even though Nashville is the home of this epically spicy chicken dish, KFC is testing it first in their Pittsburgh locations. The dish should start popping up on menus nationwide soon.
According to KFC, their Nashville hot chicken is made with a blend of cayenne-smoked paprika, and delivers on being both spicy, and using authentic regional U.S. ingredients.
The Nashville hot chicken style will be available when you order KFCs signature extra crispy breast, drumsticks, thighs, or tenders. Prices for meal combos with coleslaw and biscuits range from $5.49 for a one-piece breast basket to $29.99 for a 24-piece tenders tailgating platter.
