Kids shows these days are garbage, so I'm not surprised. We started watching the old Moomin cartoons from the 90s with our kid, and it's just remarkable how different that is to modern kids shows.
It's slow, calm, takes it's time. Spends time on trivial things that means very little to the story, but a lot to establishing who the characters are. Best of all, it's got great stories. Even as parents we enjoy watching it.
Contrast that to modern cartoons which are just loud, hyperactive horseshit where everyone is competing to be the most obnoxious.
No wonder kids these days get medicated for adhd. That's the way TV teaches them to behave.
