Unconfirmed says Gamefront

Killer 7 (GC/PS2, Capcom): 9 / 9 / 8 / 10 - (36/40)

Anyone know if that's real? Much higher than I thought.

I've also seen numbers for 8/9/9/7 and 9/7/6/8... so nothing is confirmed. :(

I'm expecting it to be around 30-32, be good if it got higher but I think it's unlikely with it being a love-it/hate-it type game.

Really looking forward to playing it no matter how it's turned out, the long wait will soon be over :)

Too high, gotta be fake.

I'm expecting 28/40 myself. I want the game to be excellent and I'll buy it regardless, but I can't see this happening.

Some shit games have gotten high scores in Famitsu.
And to be fair, the game "came out" a while ago and people who have played it really like it.

Well the way I look at it is Nintendogs got a perfect score, so I can't really see myself taking too much notice of what Famitsu thinks of something like Killer 7.

I think the first post is the right one. The usual person who gets Famitsu today confirmed that there was one 10 in the score... :lol at Sho Nuff's prediction though. They were gonna give it that if it came out on 7th July, but when Capcom moved it forward, they jizzed themselves and inadvertently pushed the scores up.

Cool... There seem to be lots of complaints about its control scheme floating about. I've heard it being compared to a point & click adventure game w/ shooting, which sounds awesome to me (Snatcher!).

Famitsu blows. It's that simple. It's like everyone gasping over what GamePro would rate something if they somehow had first scores on Japanese games.

Though I'd love to believe it points to something good here because I am definitely picking this up on GC.

It's appearently Resident Evil Light + railshooting elements. I look forward to this one.

that's surprising. i found the e3 demo really irritating. but then the gameplay is highly dependent on sound cues, none of which i could hear. and it's just so weird that i have to try it.

this is precisely why i didnt touch this game at e3.

WTF is the Capcom 3?

Wasn't it the Capcom 5, and it turned out not really the Capcom 5...

damn, the C-Warrior needs to ease up on the booze..

That's alot higher than I thought. Game looks amazing, but I am still at a loss as to how it plays.

It's highly dependant on sound cues? I didn't know, and I didn't find the gameplay irritating. I quite liked the gameplay actually. Reminded me of point-and-click adventures with some shooting thrown in. My conclusion after playing for a while was: Killer 7 is surprisingly fun, not for everyone, and will most likely not suck when it's released. :)

Hey, hang on, this game is supposed to be shit.

- Overly long development time
- Capcom hid its gameplay from everyone until the last second
- Capcom's low sales expectations (350,000 WW)

So what's going on?

Actually, it turned out to be the Capcom 1. And a shitty one at that. Funny how it all works out, isn't it?

yeah, apparently that's how you'll know there are enemies in the area. they'll make sounds. in the e3 demo, you could just scan every time you turned a corner, but i'd often forget to do so.

Yeah, now I know what you're talking about. That's true, when I played it at E3 the sound was turned up well enough for me to hear the enemies. Reckon it was a bit harder if you couldn't hear them. :)

Seem so. Gamefront removed the bold unconfirmed text.

Great. I heard some reports of this game being quite good. I know many has doubted it in the past. But hey, this game has been in development since 2002 so it should be good. (then there is starfox assault)

It was really only delayed so long so they could finish the Ps2 version.
The GameCube version was well underway when they decided to port it over to PS2, so they delayed the entire game release so the PS2 version could catch up so they could have a simeltaneous launch.

I can't believe it. The demo at E3 was almost unplayable.

Call me crazy, but I have NEVER seen a SINGLE person here question Famitsu's reviews until the Nintendogs perfect score. After that haters pulled the excuse of "Famitsu sucks" out of their ass.

Agree. Control scheme struck me as being frustrating for the sake of being frustrating. I got a laugh out of watching various people wander over to the demo station, pick up the controller, look incredulously at the control placard, then fumble around for a few minutes and walk away.
