I never get past the part where the corporal goes into this one room, and 2 sets of chimaera spawn, run in, and kill him.
100% of the times, I have lost to this one part....Tips?
Yeah, a vote means a vote to kick. I would have got on the mic and asked everyone else to vote but it was late and the kids were asleep so I just quit once the round ended. Sorry to leave you hangingKTallguy said:Does "vote" equal kick?
I was plugging that guy every chance I got. Asshole.
Kittonwy said:You do NOT revive someone right in the line of fire for them to be put down again, sometimes when I die I would just tell people to let me respawn instead, and if I see someone who got killed because he got shot by two or three enemies I would just let him respawn in a more optimal position instead of turning him into cannon fodder. I think some of the medics out there just kind of recklessly revive people regardless of situation, some are very good though in terms of their judgement, it all depends.![]()

How do you unlock classes? Just by going up rank?
I've gotten up to the rank of joining a clan...the 3rd or 4th, I think. Just wondering how much longer I need to play to get to play with the new classes![]()
SolidSnakex said:Yes, it goes by your rank. If you go into your Statistics you'll be able to find out the exact amount of points needed to unlock each class.

Very cool video straight from the developers and a must see.
Does it count being incapacitated as a death? In QW and such you only get a death when you respawn (i.e. when you're gibbed or the timer runs out), that's not the case here?SolidSnakex said:Yeah, but it adds a bit of strategy to it. You can really screw up someones K/D ratio if you just run around reviving people without taking into account of whether or not there are any enemies in the location. I recently became a medic and I try to protect the person until they're up and moving.
AranhaHunter said:They should have an option for the person being revived on whether or not they want to be revived, this dumbfuck revived me 3 times and I kept dying as soon as I was revived :/

the_prime_mover said:Perhaps they should make it so that if you are revived and die within a span of time then it will not count as a death to you, and that there is a maximum number of times within a space of time that you can be revived. So if you are revived, then killed then revived then killed you would immediately be dead rather than mortally wounded.
I think the problem is the risk-reward is not in the hands of the person who is suffering from the decision. A person who is revived only gains the benefit of picking up where they left off, but the benefit to the medic and the shooter is much greater than the benefit of a different "spawning" point. A situation like this creates disharmony between the incentives players are playing by. Disharmony generates imbalance. There may be so many bad revives because it doesn't cost the medic anything if the person they revive dies right away. Perhaps they should be given a team kill penalty if they revive someone who gets killed immediately!? I imagine it is the same thing with rocket launcher spammers who are seeing very large negatives but are still racking up so many kills that they come out ahead.
Works well in Quake Wars, you'll have invulnerability until the animation is done (and makes it clear to everyone that you are invincible by having a shield symbol above your head), and you get up at 50% health, gives enemies plenty of time to zero in while not making you a freekill. Might go against the immersion they seem to be going for here though.TTP said:I think the best solution is to have one decide if he wants to be revived or not.
Everything else (invulnerability, penalties) opens huge cans of worms.

Hey guys,
I know that some people have picked up on the destructability/vehicles comment from the preview, so I thought I would jump in here and clear things up.
I've played the beta extensively over the last week, and I haven't encountered destructibility or vehicles that you can drive. However, as someone rightly pointed out to me, these elements WILL be in the finished game. For that reason, I thought I should tweak the original text of the preview to be fair to the developers.
I hope this clears up any confusion.
wtf, did he just stand in one spot while playing the beta or something? I can't comprehend how someone can be so oblivious to environmental destructionmakingmusic476 said:Remember that guy on GameSpot that claimed there is no destructibility in the beta, and later edited his impressions once he realized he was wrong? He posted this today in thread on GameSpot:
He obviously has NOT been playing the beta "extensively".

Well yeah, hence my reaction to that earlier. I don't know, maybe it all works out fine in-game but going by the impressions from people here it seems like the medic gun/reviving could use some tweaking, it shouldn't be aggravating to get help from a team-mate playing his role.TTP said:Well, I dont know how the medic works in QW, but in KZ2 he can revive a buddy from as far as 10 meters circa. If you have a medic behind cover reviving you from a safe spot AND the invincibility during the reviving animation one might exploit this. Of course a injured soldier can be easily killed with just one extra bullet tho.

In the beta forum they said they've increased the cool-down period on the revival gun in the retail release. Meaning the medic has to wait a longer period of time between revives instead of just spamming it while you endlessly stand up and get shot downDanne-Danger said:Well yeah, hence my reaction to that earlier. And hopefully that would cause players to be more wary for if/when they'll use their revive as well... got it, crisis averted.kenta said:In the beta forum they said they've increased the cool-down period on the revival gun in the retail release.
