I loved Killzone but I think Resistance would be a better remake
Obligatory. Killzowned!
Remake or Remaster Killzone 2 first (with its epic online included and priorised) before possibly fucking up a new Killzone game... And the soul of the game is Helghan! with its dark toxic atmosphere, not the colourful shit tones of 3 and 4! So give us a prequel in Helghan _ a real Killzone 2 sucessor!
the only thing bad about killzone 2 is that its to gooooooood please make NEW Killzone
Come on Rico was hilarious. And then they nerfed him in KZ3 and made him boring. Fuckin Higs!Gunplay and visuals were great. Characters, story, voice acting and some of the level design was questionable. (Rico dialogue and the faux tough guy dropping fbombs ever 5 seconds was incredibly grating)
I wouldn’t mind seeing a return to the universe so long as it had another studio working on it.
A Killzone from Bend (with the help of Bungie or a 3rd party like Respawn) where the Hellghast are invading earth and a ragtag biker militia have to retake strategic military positions.
The input lag was part of the design lmao. It made you feel heavy like you had actual equipment on. I'll never understand complaints like these. The input lag truly made it unplayable for me when I tried it on my PS3 a few months ago. I was an avid Call of Duty player in it's heydey on 7th gen consoles, so I know how smooth an FPS can be, and Killzonw (both 2 and 3) feel downright terrible by competition. It's not just the frame rate either - CoD was at 60fps (generally), and Battlefield was at ~30fps on consoles back in the day, but input lag wasn't a significant issue with those titles.
I know plenty of fans say the controls felt weighty / purposeful etc., but I don't think the input lag made its way to Killzone Shadowfall a few years afterwards. A remastered collection for PS5/PC wouldn't go amiss, the atmosphere and setting of the Killzone games still hold up.
Kz3 also improved it a lot. These days they could easily pull off “weighty” controls without literally have input lag caused by the renderer. A new KZ could be great. The input lag truly made it unplayable for me when I tried it on my PS3 a few months ago. Op/we are not asking for remaster, but vNextTo heck with Remasters.
Nah, he was the worst.Come on Rico was hilarious. And then they nerfed him in KZ3 and made him boring. Fuckin Higs!
Im with you brother.Maybe Bluepoint should remake KZ2 now that they have live service experience
I honestly wouldn’t mind a remake just of Warzone itself
This... I had KZ2 separate and got the killzone collection on ps3 for kz1 and 3, and I liked the campaign from the first game, from what I remember. A ps2 game for sure, but damn it would of been great with a remake. The one thing that feels like a missed opportunity with the Killzone franchise, other than the obvious port/remaster collection that's needed, is the fact that they never remade Killzone 1 in the Killzone 2/3 engine.
In terms of campaigns Killzone 1 is probably the best one with the best variety of locations and encounters, but it is held back graphically from the grandiose nature that KZ 2 and 3 share.
disagree, 2 had personality and some kind of vision, 3 got rid of thatIt was cool but I liked 3 better. 2 was too repetitive.
To me, it was one of the greatest gaming experience of my life.
But no, I don't want no remaster.
This game was sooooo tailor fitted with PS3 hardware and TVs of the era,
that simply turning it to 4K 60 will only make the magic disappear
I actually booted it up just a few weeks ago, I always think, "this time the aiming will feel good...I'll just get used to it...." Nah, the aiming is so bad . I then thought that I could just abuse the snap to mechanic that shooters have on consoles, seemed non-existent in KZ2.Agreed on this. They should somehow keep the weighty feel but make the gameplay feel of aiming better. Maybe taking away the crosshairs would help. It shouldn't feel fast and arcadey, because that's not what KZ is about.
