Same here, but I played the demo 5 times and didn't notice anything too dark nor anything. It was perfectly illuminated.

It's the RGB Full thing. I had the same problem and seen it posted earlier in the thread. Checked my settings and it was on, turned it off and the symbol was visible.
 
Umm sorry to be out of the loop but when will this demo be up on the North American store? I came home ready to play Killzone 2, and its not there =\

EDIT: this is bullshit, i got my answer...

Definitely black crush then. If you're tv doesn't support the "Full" range don't turn it on at all. Pretty convenient way to test if your tv supports it.

Damn.....Just played like 12 times in a row.....I feel like I know every nook of this demo. Can't get enough, I hope the 26th gets here soon. I LOVE hitting different exploseive chain reactions in the warehouse. Oh. and yyou can hear some audio of them still fighting after the screen goes black and the demo ends...Talk about a cocktease, Funny thing is I tried to take the far way around at the end of the demo to try and trick it :P

I think for NA it's closer to release (couple days before) for the public demo. The one who have gotten it from the NA side used a gamestop demo code.

Just create a EU PSN. It's very easy.

Seriously, everyone was on the Dual Shock's jock back then. The Duke was our whipping boy back then for being too big.

I guess peoples' hands grew.
 
I had no trouble with the Dual Shock, I found KZ2 to have done a better job with its default scheme when compared to other console FPSs on the PS3

I can't tolerate Vegas and COD but KZ2 works well for me

there are some examples of Postal codes here for UK,
go to Google Map and pick out a Street Name and City and that's that,
you will need a email address but I am sure you probably have 2 or 3 email addresses, so use the email address that is not tied to your North American PSN account
 
Wow, so i just got to sitting down with Killzone 2 and all i can say is ITS GREAT!
Yeah its a short demo, but when i get 8-10 hours of that i will be very pleased.
Good job Guerrilla.
 
I love the weighted feeling. People who absolutely hates it must love weightless controls. No hud except crosshair for me and standard 2 settings. Use your tip of the thumbs for Dualshock analogs.

I just find that way of holding the controller to be very uncomfortable, and I have normal hands.

I was playing KZ and it just froze. So I reboot it but now I hear the sound of XMB starting but blank screen. And there are dead pixels on the screen. :(((((((

Any one had this problem????

just for fun, i asked my girlfriend to play the Killzone 2 demo. She NEVER playes shooters.. ever.

she started of with really not having a clue what to do... i can still remember when i first started playing shooters with the dual analogue sticks, and it's damn hard.. all the buttons, all the info, etc.

but after three rounds of cussing, failing and wanting to quit, she suddenly got the hang of it a bit.. she started shooting helmets of, throwing grenades and started to say things like:"i can see now why you enjoy shooters"..

And to be honest.. i think she picks it up a lot faster than i did ..

try this

power off the ps3, and then when powering it on hold the power button for 5 seconds. This should reset your video settings and hopefully work.

Damn! I thought I could resist another shooter, but this game is just so f*cking beautiful.

I think it was the Helghast waving goodbye to me when I was dying that pushed me over the edge. Amazon here´s my money.

You could try shutting it off completely and unplugging the cables and leaving it like that for at least 5 minutes. Then plug it back in and hope it all works for you.

same. it's either too laggy or too sensitive.

and why is the main character a head shorter than everyone else?

at least it comes close to the CG trailer in terms of chaos and graphics.

I am not sure. I dont have any other tv to try on at this time. But KZ just hung at some load point. The screen froze. And the problem started after that :(

Turn off your PS3, turn off your TV, leave both off for like 10 minutes. I know my Samsung's screen fucks up if I turn it off then on real quick.

OK just tried that. This time it gave me a black screen with blue lines across it. And then went black again :(

yeah, it was real funny to watch. So proud when she popped of a helmet :p
She plays games, but never shooters.. lately she started playing Stardust HD to.. instantly adicted... and two days ago she got the gold Pixeljunk Monsters trophy.. and that MF is HARD to get......
 
Played it some more, now with alt 2, and plays better. Still wish I could map cover to the x button and make it sticky and move shooting and zooming to the big triggers. This would be much better, at least give me the option to do so. Need to get used to the slow aiming and turning speed, feels like gears in that, but then 1st person which feels weird.

I expected more though, after all the hype. It's a shame the graphics have lost their wow due to the retard KZ2gif spammers.

ok tried this too. Any more ideas guys?????

I have connected it through HDMI to my view sonic monitor. The screen goes from no signal to blank when it starts and then you hear XMB wave sound. But nothing on screen.
:(

OK so if the PS3 is fucked what do I do? My 1 year warranty is up I think.

Meh, I'm not hyped enough to make a new account for this. I just thought I'd try it out and see how it played. Oh well. This pre-order demo shit is just stupid. Totally defeats the purpose.
