I have a 42" Panasonic plasma. That wouldn't support Full RGB? I've never had this problem when setting up brightness in games like Bioshock.
I have PZ85 Panasonic plasma as well, and I'm pretty much 100% sure that it doesn't support full RGB. Tested it on a 46" and 50" PZ85 models, same result, doesn't look right with full RGB, and doesn't display gradient from the test picture.

You have crushed black and white far ends of the color spectrum on the TV if you keep that option enabled.

you can't tell when you're running low on extra ammo).

The rifle makes a distinct sound when it runs low on ammo.

They don't behave the same at all, they just enter in from the same direction every time. That's the only part that's scripted.

That's not even necessarily always the case. The first round of higs that come in the warehouse for instance. One guy usually comes in by the left door (so where you have to take out the higs when Garza activates the door), but there were multiple instances when he came by the other door and jumped down from the rail.

Okay, thanks. I'll turn it off then.

I haven't played the game so I cannot attest to whether or not this is true, but Chris Remo from Gamasutra and Idle Thumbs says this is not the case on the 2nd latest podcast. He claimed that the AI behaves the same way every time (after you die, etc). Again, I don't know the validity of this but there you go.

Not true. They might come from the same spots (and this is not 100% true either) but what happens afterward is always different. You don't even need the game to realize it. Demo clearly shows this.

Also, on higher difficulty setting, each confrontation has to be approached differently.

Edit: beaten so many times it's not even funny

Interesting. One thing I did notice is that they don't go straight to that same first piece of cover every time they come in. It generally depends on where you are, and they'll usually go for the optimum piece of cover relative to you.

Another thing I really like about Killzone 2's A.I., which Resistance 2 and a lot of other shooters annoyingly do the complete opposite of, is that they'll actually shoot at your teammates, too. They don't all gun for you like you're wearing some big ass "shoot me" sign, even if it's just you and one other guy.

I'm confused. When I change it to limited, the colors of my XMB (the icons and the red background) all don't look as sharp. But if I got into the game I can see Helghast symbol when setting up the brightness.

If my TV didn't support it, wouldn't when I change it to Full, the picture would go away, just like when trying to run a 1080p image and on 720p TV?

EDIT: My model number is TH-42PE7U

Yeah, I have a Z85u too and it doesn't support full range.

I can understand the context sensitive complaint, but ammo, really? That's the point of hudless, you are supposed to get a feel for the clip size and keep reloaded. Never knowing exactly how much is in there unless you were counting is half the fun.
I'm not talking about the amount in the clip. I'm talking about the amount of clips remaining.

playing at higher sensitivity really does make the controls more enjoyable. I still can't do it at max, but 3 or 4 notche shigher than I normally did it works great.

that's why you can play hudless. it's so good

hudless is really cool except for when it doesn't tell you what you can and can't interact with. That could get a bit annoying later in the game.

You don't need to change it to full RGB if your tv is properly calibrated. My ps3 is set to limited RGB and I can see helghast symbol just fine. You should try tinkering with your TV's gamma setting.

No, everything below the threshold of your tv for black gets interpreted as black, and thus displayed as black. This means that a whole range of colors will actually show up as black, when they're not intended to be. It makes colors look more vibrant because it has the effect of pushing everything closer to their limit in terms of saturation. That's why the colors look "sharper" at first glance. In actuality, when it's set to limited it's "correct" though.

Doesn't this go for all official threads? I mean, it doesn't make any sense to post in an official thread about a game you don't like, nor have to play.

But what do I know. I'm 16.
I have 24 and i think the same :lol
IE: It wouldn't make any sense if i posted on the Halo 3 thread :D

He mentioned it specifically for the/a sniper section, that the snipers would take the exact same route every time. He never said it about the regular grunts.

Though he did call it a lightgun game at one point, my guess is that he just used cover Time Crisis-style through the whole thing. :P

Wow the constant title changes almost make me not want to pick up the game anymore.

I know, it's quite obvious the mods here (or one rather) are in love with the game... it's like noone can say anything negative about Killzone around here or you get lynch mobbed.. :lol

Just barely though. And it's very bland lookiing.

Agreed, you know I was playing Halo 3 this afternoon and although it doesn't have any AA, graphically speaking it's definitely a step up compared to this game.

<huge rolleyes> :-P

this has to be my most played demo. i keep coming back to it and each playthrough turns into a second one since it's so short. i've lost count as to how many times i've gone through it

You're right, the 50pz85u doesn't support it. Only a few TVs do. My pioneer 1150HD does, but I have to change the hdmi mode which is a giant pain. So I just leave it on limited as well.

Well, snipers are obviously more stationary than foot soldiers, so they tend to hold their positions. But they do move around a bit based on player position/route taken. They use guns when in close range too.

Set your TV to Limited, it doesn't support RGB Full. You're losing details in the image.

would be funny if this is actually Sony's viral marketing. probably not though, Killzone is really just that good that we all want it to success
I dont think sony would called themselves stupid for not advertising in viral marketing.
